    Default Diplomacy...

Hi there. I am currently playing Bi for Rome(West) faction, so i cant just understand how does diplomacy thing works... I have a Lombardi ally and i asked this faction to help me against Huns, they are crossing their boarders as well as mine. However i received a negative answer, even there was a known danger how could they just declined ? They are my allys but it's seems to me they dont want to help/support me etc. So is there any use of ally ? Anyway can someone plz advise me how to use diplomats as well as to negotiate with enemy
P.S. sry for my bad english...

sell useless stuff to everybody : trade rights, maps, etc etc ...
If they refuse to pay outrageous sums of money for those useless deals, it means they'll soon declare war on you.
once the whole map is at war, the only use of diplomats is bribing, really.
that, and providing mobile observation towers.
    imho.

P.S. sry for my bad english...
    it's quite ok, actually.

Why don't you just take diplomats from all factions (or move them to 5th level city). No bribing, no trade rights or any of theirs "advanced" options. Just Total War!
