Icon5 Some battles on large gradients

Hi, just noticed a thing about some battles,

Sometimes i go into a battle to find that there is a crazy gradient between me and the enemy, when on the campaign map it looked pretty much flat.

In one battle i had to quit and load game, because my army couldnt physically get to the enemy due to mountains and cliffs, and couldnt even withdraw from the battle. Lucky i save game before every battle and every turn

Just an issue i thought i'd bring up.

EDIT: Also get some random crashes at the end, or just before battles

Yes, unfortunatelly 0.99 is a buggy version currently. About the unatural gradient, it's Oam's job. I have no idea. =S

Hmmm. I thought I had removed most of the crazy gradients.

Also, I never really understood why the game crashes during battles.

It would be helpful if you listed where these crazy gradients occured, I might have a look.

Ok, its just occassionally, only happened against Scotland in the North parts of England so far, il make a note of them when they happen, but i've got rid of the Scots now so i might not be fighting much up there anymore

I don't mind the crashes so much, i often save the game for safety, its a little inconvenient but its not too bad.

How do you feel about the Scot raids, was it of any challenge or plain easy?

When it first came up, i was just expecting 1 full army, but to see several was quite a scare, i had to send everything i had up north to deal with them, i lost York and Chester, but retook them after i had enough forces in the North.

They were good raids, do more happen randomly later on in the campaign?

EDIT: No need to answer that question, more Scots have landed by Norwich :O
