I think Katara's evil side would make Azula blush.

I suppose I can revive this thread. Fairly recently more information was revealed, including the face (finally ) of the protagonist. The number of episodes is also increased (26 planned). I suppose these are the good news for those who (like me) are looking forward to the series.

Can't wait. This will be the only reason I watch Nick, just as the previous series was the only reason. Damn good series.

Looks like an older Katara, with a few drops of toph and a pinch of Azula thrown in for good measure.

Can't Wait! The original Avatar Series was awesome. One of the best cartoons I have ever seen... I wonder how this series will be different... I hope they stay true to their style....

    BUMP!

I can't wait for the show, actually, I started rewatching the original series for the 5th time, and it's gotten me pumped. I like the sound of Korra so far. There's apparently going to be a lot of cool stuff. I think it might be kinda lame to see motorcycles and cars, but I think they might be able to pull them off well, as long as they look like 1920's motorcycles and cars.. I also like what they say the soundtrack is going to be like: Asian Styles Jazz, Blues and (hopefully) Bluegrass!

I can't post the video but the first trailer for the show is out. If you "like" the official Avatar page on Facebook you can get to the trailer.

    How, is it in videos?

EDIT: HOLY CRAP THAT IS ING AWESOME! The only problem I have is the city looks a bit too modern, I mean, I know the show is a little more modern, but I was expecting it to look more Steampunk.

Now I'm super pumped for the show! I wonder what other types of tech they have? Do you think they have guns?

Another problem I have with the city is it doesn't have a grim Depression Era feel. I expecting clouds of smoke from factories, crowded streets ect.

Nah...No guns. That would make the anti-benders too powerful.

And I don't think it is supposed to look too depressing. The world is flourishing.

Well, I remember them saying Republic City is supposed to be a mix between the Roaring 20's and the Depression. The buildings look too new, they look like something for now a days. I was expecting some modern stuff, but I was also expecting them to keep a lot of the traditional Asian styles. Like I hoped the clothes where going to stay close to the same.

But I think they could pull off guns well. Think about it, it would put the non-Benders and Benders on even ground. It would also give some more variety. Like, I thought the idea of having a Lightning gun would be cool.

That kind of gun, maybe...But guns in general would be a bit too violent for Nickelodeon.

Well, the show is going to be targeted at an older audience, hell, the animation kinda reminds me of the few bits of Cowboy Bebop I saw.

Yep. Sucks that they didn't give a sample of the music. I want to here Asians Jazz/Blues!

    Edit: Some info
A trailer was shown, and they used the music from the ATLA season 3 trailers.

The city is called United Republic and it was founded by Aang and Zuko.

The two guys in the poster with Korra are Mako (firebender) and Bolin (earthbender), and they are brothers.

The polar bear dog is female and her name is Naga.

Bolin has a pet fire ferret named Paboo.

There will be new flying bison and new lemurs.

There will be two seasons -- season 1 will have 12 episodes, season 2 will have 14 episodes.

Aang and Katara had three kids, Tenzin being the youngest and only airbender.

Tenzin has three kids of his own.

    Anti-benders use chi-blocking.

    There are metalbending cops.

Toph traveled the world to teach metalbending after the war was over, and her daughter Bei Fong is the chief of police.

There will be mixed martial arts in the series, and the music was described as 1920s jazz invented by the Chinese.
