ive definately been using the multiplayer mode, although tbh it looks EXACTLY the same as the battles mode...

same units and same costs... is that wrong?

It is very wrong, haven't downloaded the release version yet as I had hoped the BETA-version would be compitable, but now I will have to download the release version right away to investigate if something is wrong.

Can you guys confirmed that you are really selected "multiplayer" in the launcher menu and the Rome engine, becuase if you have it must mean someone put in the wrong EDU file while making the installer

Confirmed, something is wrong with the launcher MP files are not being used.

They did redo the launcher before release, I suspect the launcher now launches up the historical battles mode instead of the MP mode.

Anyway guys, MP is currently broken so I think you will need to hold off that tour until the launcher actually launches up the MP mode.

Eh guys, I actually managed to somehow launch up the proper MP-mode, I had my options set like this:

And launched from desktop icon.

EDIT: Doesn't work if launching from inside the RS folder tho.

Mod still uses an outdated version of the EDU though, so I would suggest banning XP upgrades as a rule.

I just tried it and got the same thing. Problem is, it's always a good idea to buy preset armies in the single player mode to speed things up when in the LAN lobby out of consideration for the opponent.

Will that get fixed?

With "that" you mean you got the same rosters as on the pictures?

Yes it will be fixed, I could post the updated EDU right away, but that would perhaps confuse the MP players?

Yes I did.
I guess you could purchase your unit in lan even if your by yourself.

Sure you can make preset armies in the custom battles menu even.

Hm, which version loads up seems a bit random, but it could be a good idea to make sure to double select the RTW engine a few times before starting or else one could end up with the BI exe which doesn't support MP...
