Default Is there a BI lag problem fix?

Sorry guys if this was discussed before but basically i stopped visiting this forum after the BI that i bought lagged on my computer. So my question is, is there a fix or a patch or maybe community created mod that fixes the lag issues with BI?Thanks

Presumably, one of the issues a mod would need to solve is the stubborn presence of shadows, no matter disabling them or not.

yes i know that in RTW it was relatively easy: manually or not. But i remember that in BI it is impossible.

I have disabled shadows in BI once. But the real FPS killer for me was the shadows/grass combo. Try setting the grass distance to 0, worked for me.

Just go to video options and under the grass setting choose "None". Or you can edit the preferences and set the grass distance to "0".
