And so it is that with the death of the last ptolemaic faction member, the line of greek pharaohs has ended and spartan values have been brought into egypt!

Factions subjugated: the Ptolemaic Empire.
Allies: Dacia, Cimbrii and Sarmatia
Enemies: Pontus, The Seleuced betrayers, Rome and the Greek City States.
This is a minor updated to my previous screen. I've added 2 cities of north Italy and Massalia. The GCS are now confined to the Crimea region.
Pontus seemed to turn things around and pushed the Armenians back. Unfortanely for them, i attacked from Sinope taking their capital of Amasia and the city of Mazaka.
Besides submitting the Ptolomies, i've now gained full control of the Levant region (if my geographical notions dont deceive me), thus having dominion over the eastern Mediterranean.
It is very amusing to see how much conquering you can do with levy phalangites and marines. Thanks to that i already have golden chevron levies.
While i was kicking the Seleuceds out of Syria/Israel, i had sent a stack all the way from Italy to Antioch and i had this crazy idea of sending it to capture the "ancient" capital of the Persian empire: Babylon.
I met little resistance, only facing 2 seleuced stacks on the way, which were made up of recruits with no exp or armor. They were easy prey for my archers and cavarly. My infantry hardly did any work. Yet a few auto resolves done when i was besieging the city, claimed 3 units of my light cav
Oh and initially Babylon was cut off. I took Palmyra recently but dont except to hold it, since levy phalangites cant be recruited there, so i cant retrain my golden ones there.
Now i plan on recruiting more generals to stabilize/improve certain regions of my empire. Trust me, there's nothing more annoying than old generals dieing and not having sufficient members to cover that up.
I wish we could have more than 1 city where you're able to recruit generals. Only once have i been able to do that. I think it was on my Pontus campaign, where i captured the Armenian capital and i was able to recruit generals from this city and my own capital.
On a different note, why is it that the Gallaeci always stop their expansion near the city of Cirta? I've never seen them actually destroying Carthage completely.

Its so "in your face" that i can only say Greek City States.

Ah cmon you took those ss focusing on the GCS
Then its either Macedon or Pergamon
Some clues you gave us. I say Rome. Spread doesn't seem consistent with AI logic.

Rome appears the most likely choice from the screenshot, but I believe he is a big Pontus fan so that is my second guess.
Ptolemies?![]()
Flavius Julius Constantinus, adopted Patrician, 30
I'm keeping away from their inbreeding ways.
I do love Pontus, but surprisingly i'm playing as one of my least favourite factions (Rome 1 turn). And speaking of AI spread i've been quite suprised at the greek cities since they are about to wipe out Sparta and have formed some form of bithnyian kingdom, also i like that Pontus hasn't been destroyed straight away.

you gotta love getting spammed with those single up to two ships consisting naval armies of bireme's by the ptolemaeic... at least if you are carthage!
Spoiler Alert, click show to read:
by the way: the GCS are just pathetici've noticed they first lost everything to the spartans and tried to reclaim their glory back in sarmatia first. they defeated the sarmatians and scythians till their very last cities and then turned westwards to fight the romans. they made it up to the cimbrian capital( forgot its name) just to loose everything in behind to its former inhabitants!
i first focused on spamming economics since i was all fine with carthago's troops in the very beginning but after i defeated the gallaeci to become iberia's new ruler and the romans in italy, i got attacked by everyone who shared a border with me; averni, romans, spartans, ptolemaic! the weird thing about it: noone has any allies at the moment, yet noone is at war except from everyone being at war with me![]()

Is that 0 or 1 turn?
I think its normal for everyone to be attacking you. Im not sure, but the AI automaticly becomes agressive towards those who are close to achieving victory conditions and i guess conquering Gallacia and Rome are those of Carthage.
So tell me, is a rump dacian state (me) with 5 regions and a single standing army worthy of an attack by the Boii,Scythians,Sarmatians,Cimbri and Macedonia combined? Well, in RTW yes, since AI: See Border with Human : attack

It is just my aura of awsomeness, Scythia died in 5 years, Boii are about to be exterminated, and Sparta kicked Macedons ass![]()

You weren't barbarian enough to join the barbarians united association and thus the war started. Macedon just like joining in the fun to the north because they are sick of the south and Spartans with their one phrase conversations.

So my Spartan campaign previously posted was screwed due to a end turn CTD, so i decided to remake it

Somewhat similar to the other one except on this one i've destroyed Pontus.
Allies: Gallaecia and Dacia
Enemies: Rome, the Seleuced Empire, Armenia, Greek City States, rebels/free people
Factions destroyed: Macedon, Pergamon, Pontus and the Ptolemaic Empire.
Expansion in the east is halted by my usual problem: death of old governors/lack of new ones to replace them.
For the first time i saw the gallaecians taking control of all northwestern africa, but then i guess they had public order issues and couldnt hold it.
The Avernii are dominating agaisnt the Cimbrii and it seems they'll subjugate them. Im interested to see how they'll do once they achieve that. Gotta build a lvl 3 barracks in Massalia just in case.
The Greeks are being freaking annoying with their pety fleet arassing my ports in the black sea. If i didnt have this governor issue, i'd recruit a stack or 2 and take their Crimean holdings!
Some people were saying that the Boii campaign was challenging so i decided to give it a try.
Here's what i achieved so far:
Spoiler Alert, click show to read:
As you can see i've just destroyed Dacia. I would have done sooner if those roman bastards hadnt betrayed me.
First thing i did was get rid of Bononia to avoid early conflict with the Romans. Lets face it, its like its harded coded into the Romans to expand northeast and subjugate the Boii. Therefore i did all i could to hold peace with them for as long as possible. Gave them said city and regular tribute.
This happened when had just attacked Dacia. I already had taken 2 of their settlements (Aquincum and Docidava) and would've finished them off quickly, but then those roman dogs barked at the wrong door! That made me lose Docidava and a somewhat average/good general. Took me a while to be on the offensive for i had to go back and forth between roman stacks and my capital to replenish my main army.
But there's more! Im nearly finishing the Dacians off and what do i see? Little purple stacks inside my newly conquered territories. A few turns later, those annoying Macedonians come running up and declare war.
Well then, it looks like i'll expanding into Italy and Greece simultaneasly!
Its not that challenging of a campaign so far. I was really expecting something near extiction! Also the Boii rouster is a bit boring as its just a copy of the Belgae rouster and to an extent the Avernii one aswell.
