Yes it was using your new battle stats. I don't know the exact time, but defiantly no more then maybe 25-30 minutes tops, as soon as i started to flank the army, they routed very fast. Whatever the case, the battle did not drag, like it can for siege battles. However, I still haven't tested your new stats in a actual assault/siege battle (As I'm usually waiting for them to come out towards me, as it's far easier to kill em like that) yet, so I will see how that is.

Ironically, I ended up having to play the first battle Twice , as the first time I won, I got a CTD after the battle, not sure if it was because I took way to many screenshots (That were useless in the end, as they all ended up Black screen ones), that in turn it screwed something up, or was it something else entirely. (I doubt your new EDU would have caused that), when I replayed the battle, and then the 2nd battle after, it was smooth sailing then, but I also limited my screenshots on purpose.

My Gallaeci campaign so far. I did start it on M/M but it went bad (terrible family members basically) so I restarted it on H/M. Rome is giving me a terrible headache, just as they are in my Greek City States campaign. I really hate them at the moment lol.

update. war with Rome for some years. Rome is no real threat. I keep them at bay while building up my infrastructure. I make ~50,000 per year. I maintain ~2 1/2 armies, abandoned all my elite troops from the beginning, they are just too expensive to refresh. For Romans it's enough to have standard spearmen or light cimbri swordmen, and also very good and cheap are Nervii swordsmen. Plus 4 or 5 cavalry and that will do against the Romans who have always 2 or 3 cavalry in their army and behave very badly. Just kill the enemy cav then they send single units after your cav so you can destroy them, and if you hit them with your line they have stronger infantry but good old "hammer and envil" and slightly higher numbers will normally do the job (plus their general dead).

The Rebels at my borders are also very usefull to keep the Romans away. But now I will take southern gaul and later the Rebel tribes north of the alps. Hopefully the tribes in the east won't attack me. They very reliable neighbors untill now. I think Dacia is pretty strong. They decimated Boii to one province, and 2 years ago I got a message that Macedonia is destroyed . (Mind you my maps are rather old).

As I said in the pics thread here is my current roman campaign with I think I´m playing quite well:

Quickly Targets are macedonia and mainland greece as well as took syracuse and Salonae and then could think about emporiae again( roman rebels took it and after a few years fell against Carthagian worms ) so that would be the excuse to enter in Iberia.
I don´t want to expand to the north cause I think they are quite dificult to culturize and in the case of Iberian peninsula I would start conquering coast cities.

I suggest stick to greece if your holding out, carthage will take a while to get to you or you can invade africa. In my campaing, I pulled out of greece and got in an iberian war that lasted for 35 years and was still going on when 3 saves got corrupted :

Yeah, you should invade Carthage before they get too firm a hold in Iberia.

Oh, certainly, Greece is better to take then Africa or Iberia, but I mean, well, you don't want Carthage to gain power.
