    See here for best performance.
I figured how to fight battles in woods without laggs, in launcher put grass detail to deafult, and in game put vegetation to medium, and then games run smooth.

I haven`t looked into your files, but the climate used in the historical battles(and this one is the Teutoburgerwald historical battle, right?) depends on the coordinates chosen for the battle in its descr_battle.txt file. If those happen to be in a Mediterranean area of your campaign map then that`s how the grass and trees will look in game even though the rest of the terrain(relief) will largely stay the same because it is preset for each historical battle.

I have noticed a distinct lack of any photos of numbered Roman legions in action. I haven't unlocked them yet so I would like to see some if anybody has any.

I'm afraid I'm in the same boat, still no reforms . Anyway, here are some shots from my Roman campaign. I currently hold all Italy up to Genoa, Sicily, Corsica & Sardinia and the east coast of Iberia from Sagunton down to Gadir. The Arverni, Gallaeci and myself allied against Carthage, then Gallaeci declared war on Arverni with Carthage still kicking about, so I sided with Arverni (the Arverni are also at war with the Boii, and they have split all four northern Italian settlements between them). The year is 557 AUC or so. No reforms. My aim is to use this alliance with the Arverni as a reason (and a buffer) to destroy the Gallaeci and the Boii in nearby regions, then to see what the Arverni do.

Spoiler Alert, click show to read:
These shots are from the Balearic island, taken when I sieged the town with a full legion and Carthage retaliated by landing a full army full of Libyan spearmen, heavy cavalry and forest & towered elephants.

Here are two from a battle near Sagunton.

Only dream I ever have. Is it the surface of the Sun?

It's from the outskirts and the siege of Argos.

EDIT: I apologize for the screenshots in posts #88 #66 and probably elsewhere, for they not showing... I was using photobucket and had no idea that there's a 10gb bandwidth limit. I switched to imageshack now, hope there will be no issues with it.

I love this mod...I had many years to play Rome (since RTR VI).
But this is an other essence...I had to remember all the practice about the roman tactics and formations.
    And i love ambushes.
Here is an ambush i fell in to ....

The soldiers in the far end of the pic are mine surrounding the ambushers.
I do not like to use pause button and this drove my reflexes to the edge.
I won this ambush...and reached atlantic ocean!

So..let them (Roman Orthodox christians) have full and absolute safety for their lives, their temples, their beliefs and to all worship sites currently held within and outside the city.
The rest of the Christians will come as ordinary pilgrims and subject to the Patriarch of Jerusalem.

"This is a message from Muhammad ibn Abdullah, as a covenant to those who adopt Christianity, near and far, we are with them. Verily I, the servants, the helpers, and my followers defend them, because Christians are my citizens; and by Allah! I hold out against anything that displeases them. No compulsion is to be on them. Neither are their judges to be removed from their jobs nor their monks from their monasteries. No one is to destroy a house of their religion, to damage it, or to carry anything from it to the Muslims' houses. Should anyone take any of these, he would spoil God's covenant and disobey His Prophet. Verily, they are my allies and have my secure charter against all that they hate. No one is to force them to travel or to oblige them to fight. The Muslims are to fight for them. If a female Christian is married to a Muslim, it is not to take place without her approval. She is not to be prevented from visiting her church to pray. Their churches are to be respected. They are neither to be prevented from repairing them nor the sacredness of their covenants. No one of the nation (Muslims) is to disobey the covenant till the Last Day (end of the world)."
