Yeah. Greek Levy Pikemen. Sadly they disappear after advancements in Marian technology. Fortunately I will take steps to ensure no marius will upset this new military order

Ok, so apparently siege escalation is all the rage?

A bunch of Romans armed with modern long pikes and small shields fight the backward greeks who have large shields and little swords

The latest tactics from Phillip of Macedon were employed. Pikemen and heavy horse. Rome has truly entered the age of modern arms and tactics

So guys today I was in Mtskheta, the same one in RSII map, it is near Tbilisi (capital of Georgia) and here is a panorama pick of it, if it's interesting

My -epic- showdown with Hannibal. Note the date.

The explosive conclusion. See how far away all my pikemen are...

A battle that will stand the testament of time, and affect the lives of everyone is the known world.

Actually it was rather underwhelming. :/

bosporian auxilary infantry supported by batavian cavalry
and my new bridge tactic, tyer them with spearmen at the bridge, hit them with all missiles you have, retreat when they are almost at breaking point, let them come to the second line and then sandwish them with cav charge, instant rout

Do I have to manually activate the bloom to make the game look like the image below?

Yes, over the launcher. There's the option "Special Bloom Effects". You can choose between "Light", "Dark" or an personal Bloom. I like Dark Bloom, because it gives a movie feeling.

Thanks. And seriously, that image look just as good (or perhaps even better) than Rome II.

If you have Vista, Windows 7 or 8 call up your snipping tool. If you need more info, goggle 'how to take a PC screenshot.'
However, if you intend to take screenies of your own game you'll likely prefer the free version of the program, Fraps, which will allow you to take screenshots and record 30 sec videos.

As for UI-less and stuff, open up your RS2 Launcher preference and find minimal UI. Other stuff is there too, but don't change anything if you're unsure of its effect in game.

Edit: If your game struggles with FPS, know then that Fraps does use a few FPS while running in the background.

@vardan for screenshots easy way is to use fraps for taking pictures
you need to make an account on imgur where you can upload them
and from there you can copy/paste the forum and message board bbcode
    and here just insert image,
when you have alot of pictures to show you can go advanced and put a spoiler around it(the one with this icon(!)),like this

Re: Roma Surrectum II: Battle Trailers - Trailer 6- The Factions
    by nazgul666 post 513

For people who want to make a video with movie_cam, here's how to proceed with this summary:

1 - In the Launcher (RSII) or the target of your shortcuts RTW, add the command -movie_cam and save

    2 - Prepare a "Custom Battle"

3 - When the battle is over, save it

4 - Be careful didn't have the graphics options to maximum or a very large number of units on the screen, to avoid a dramatic drop of FPS when capturing video.

    5 - Run FRAPS or Xfire (25fps or 29.97fps)

6 - Watch the replay of your battle to identify sequences of interest.

7 - Restart the replay and start setting up and moving the camera with the movie_cam

    8 - When you're done, press "S" to save.

9 - To make sure everything is correct, restart by pressing "R" + "L" + "Enter"

10 - Repeat step 9 and run with your video capture software.

11 - Just now edit your movie using a video editing software: WMM, Pinnacle Studio, Sony Vegas ...

12 - Select the scenes, add effects, transitions and titles if necessary.

To begin, we must know that I use movie_cam is an application that is integrated with Rome Total War.
This software only works in mode battle custom or historic battle, it does not work in campaign mode.

So I save a custom battle, then I start the replay of this battle and movie_cam allows me to place my cameras to the desired location using the three axes X, Y, Z

It is useful to view the replay several times to find interesting scenes.
I make my video capture (with Fraps) and I have a first film.

I just restart the replay and movie_cam to choose different camera shots that made the scenes more dynamic.
I am doing a second film.

I therefore have a greater choice of scenes that I can incorporate into my video editing software.
It takes time when necessary to fit a movie with sound effects, music, transitions etc ... have all these little things that make living a video.

Pila, like many things aren't quite up to snuff against Form Phalanx

The Romans used two units of Velites and several full cohorts of pila to kill* about 11 pikemen.

*I should note that they all made a full recovery after the battle
