Oh no, those are Carthaginians. You just can't see them because by the time I charged, they were almost all dead.
I mean those are my Syracuse Royal Hoplites and also my Syracuse Levy Thureophoroi.
Might as well call them Sicilian Hastati ... Sicilian Light Imitation Hastati as they have a large (but light) shield, no torso armor at all, and only use light javelins...

Armenia assaults me:
It's like the AI knows heavy cavalry have the best chance of getting through pikes.. (these are just levy pikemen with different textures on)
When we started the battle, the first line was right up AGAINST that wall. I know they're just levy pikemen, but triple stacked and still...
Just as the Armenians think they are about to break through... from behind them...
Slingers escorted by horsemen, you can't get away now, it's all over for you!
This is my Parthian Empire. Long story short expanded too fast and tried to destroy and capture all seleucid cities that had the elite barracks to cripple the evil empire but failed due to my horribad management of my cities so it caused an economic collapse which is technically is destroying my empire as of now. I'll sack and destroy every destructible Seleucid city and while I retreat I'll sack other towns and cities which I haven't previously conquered and retreat back to Babylon/Seleucia. Oh and ah yes this isn't a ordinary war this is genocide of the greeks and unending massacre of seleucids.
Btw Antiocheia is fine since I recaptured it after revolt so I'll leave it I guess with or without a general with mercenary greek traitors since it has the seleucid treasury. So don't expand like I did lol.
btw sry for not posting anything epic like the majority of my battles against the empire... i might...

The only big issue with rebellions is the general units spawned, it's still worthwhile to remove their production capability.
Oh, and I guess having to fight garrison script again if you can't immediately assault to bypass that. But with all the archers you can have, shouldn't be as bad as dealing with endless grey stacks.
Hey, let's have some...
Dying Romans
Dying Carthaginians

These guys use shields about as large as the ones on my Hoplites of Syracuse. I wonder if I could make my hoplites use their stances for spear-use. It would probably look better in combat to use the under-shield or side-shield (for the Thureos-users) animations...
Romans REALLY take their hygiene seriously. Despite burning down, this building is perfectly fine. Perhaps it is all the water inside
This one is the best. One Roman general, 200 javelins from a unit of levy thureophoroi...

The Roman general's bodyguard charges as my men throw javelins...
Thanks to the power of "throwing javelins in melee", my Levy Thureophoroi use their 6 javelins each, dealing a painful blow to the enemy before using swords.
Unfortunately for the horsemen, I had another unit around, which has more javelins. Into your back!
nice pictures guys,if i had the time i post some to

So, a new Alexander will take up the knife... while Romans overhand with their pila (not really)
My cheer squad: General & Royal Hoplites to boost morale, and the lancers actually demoralize the enemy. They are sitting outside the settlement walls, but it works on anyone fighting just inside.

and the seleucids are gathering around babylon and seleucia.but im ready for them, got 14 legions stationed at their border, and not gonna expand any further in their lands, just defencive war against them, and offencive against armenia.
@romanius i play 0turn campaigns yes.never one turn
armenia, iff they have a large kingdom is a good match against the romans, they have nice stacks to play against, their elite infantry are a real nightmare to play against
