Seems to be dead as mud. All the links are down. Which is a shame to me... by the screenshots, seems to be graphically light for my glorified typing machine. Would play really smooth. Any other suggestions? Maybe the dark ages or early middle ages? Challenging economy and easy graphics?

Ultra Gloria Romae from IBFD might also run smooth on your PC. Recently i have downloaded Rome Medieval Kingdoms for medieval times. Right now i prefer it over Chivalry. I hope Dark Ages II will eventualy be ready.

Thanks, Sertorium and Ferdiad. Downloading SAI right now trough ModDB, really fast. I will check it out if it's really good. I've played Ultra Gloria Romae before... really challenging. You don't need to have a huge empire to be prosperous there, and every battle maybe your last one if you let the computer fight for you. The units models are, indeed, lighter for me, but there were always some problem during the battles that kinda turned me off this mod (if I remember correctly, a huge amorphous collored triangle thing jumping and dancing in the screen with the camera, and, also, senseless units stats). I will try out Medieval Rome latter.

Explanation: After the battle return to the map, the map was all white... Pressed End Turn, game crashed...
Damn, why didn't I saved before pressing End Turn and start that save again? Ah well... It was late...

Anyway the Romans are annoying... Land always on the same spots and take a lot of time to defeat...

had my first real fight against named legions with pergamon and yes the romans are a bit OP.
and normally im a roman only player,i think its ok they wher afterall the conquerers of the known world
