HOLY SHITE FERDIAD!?
I've gone one board account that I've been on for like 8 years (Civilization "One Big Comunity" board) and I only have like 10K posts on that account, and I thought that was a lot. I see I've only taken my first steps into a larger world . . . and here I thought I had already graduated to jedi . . .
Ferrets has about 56K atm.

This thread is really good, helps you get more posts while at the same time socialising with fellow Roma Surrectum players.

Underwhelmed by M2TW so far.
So I bought the definitive final compilation version (contains all the expansions I think) off Gamersgate a while back and finally got it all up and running. Did the Norman Conquest tactical tutorial and enough of the strategic one to see it is basically the same game with slightly different UI, different graphics and set in a different era.
But I'm feeling rather underwhelmed at this point. I enjoy medieval era games, but somehow this vanilla one is a bit off-putting to me. First of all the graphics are a bit hard to take after RS2.5. Seem a bit glary, lurid colors, and overly saturated or something. I guess medieval armies really were that colorful though . . .
Second, I'm not sure how much play I'll get out of vanilla. I suppose I should play a bit just to get experienced with the engine. But given my tastes for more-detail, more-complexity, more-realism, I think it is inevitable that I'll need to get into a mod or two to get any mileage out of the game.
Is there a mod for M2TW which is comparable in quality, detail, complexity, challenge and realism to RS2.5?
If not, can guys recommend mods for M2TW they really like and why? Linkies are appreciated
Get stainless steel if you want an overhaul. There are plenty of other mods too, depending on your preference. Third Age Total war is an absolutely stonking lord of the rings mod. Then there is Call of Warhammer, The last Kingdom, there are absolutely loads.
Retrofit mod is quite good too.
