    Default Napoleon Drum Mod

For those who like to have a drum appropriate to their favorite faction, I have created some alternative skins. I have also changed and varied the cords and tighteners on some drums. As usual with my mods, this one is about variation.

It does not go for grognard historical accuracy (that said, drums in the period seem to have been vary varied anyway), but provide 3 generic alternatives and some which reflect regional emblems etc.

I will add more if the mod proves popular and can attempt specific ones on request - time permitting and with images available to use!

    Installation

    1. A single mod pack for all the illustrated drums above is the enclosed compressed file: Pick the one you want (the file name indicates which drum it is). The Duffer version is illustrated in a post below.
    2. You can only use ONE of the mods at a time -the drum you select will be used by all European factions.
    3. Mod is in patch format - just place in your data folder and play.
    4. Swap out the drums at any time.
    5. Just remove the file from your data folder to return to vanilla drum.

    Feedback welcomed.

NOTE: Several additional skins are available in the thread below based on specific requests

I have worked up a drum specific to the Bedfordshire Regiment (14th), which is illustrated below and provided as an enslosure. Regimental facing colour is the base drum colour, and crowned "GR" with regiment number below. Why? Well, that's my home county back in Blighty.

You can also see below I have also done a matching Regimental Colour for the regiment, which I will make available in my Napoleon Flag Mod.

Drummer lace for for the regiment was white (so that's OK!) - Now I just have to work out how to change the color of the uniform facings, LOL!

May any other Bedfordians out there use it proudly!

Note: In 1809, the 14th became the Buckinghamshire (Prince of Wales Own) Regiment of Foot.

Another option for Eagles lovers. Just put the file in your data folder.

I assume you mean Russian? There are 3 Russian flags in my Flag Mod, and here's a drum with the russian imperial eagle with lightening bolts and wreath, just for you. The front of the drum has a crown:

    All,

I am helping L'aigle with his WIP on skins for the French Imperial Guard. Take a look at what he's up to:

    http://www.twcenter.net/forums/showthread.php?t=386273

One way I am helping is to create a drum and some flags to complement his skins Garde Imperiale units.

Here is the drum - NOTE THE UNIFORMS HERE ARE NOT FROM HIS L'AIGLES MOD, this is Mongworth's OG skin. The drum is historically accurate, which is the object of L'aigle's mod.

The new flags can be seen on my flag mod thread at http://www.twcenter.net/forums/showt...03#post8037903

For those who are interested, these flags and the drum will be released with L'aigle's skins in the coming days. Please do visit his thread http://www.twcenter.net/forums/showthread.php?t=386273 and give him some feedback and encouragement etc.

No. The drum is part of the generic kits used by all factions - the only variation is eastern and western types. This mod only changes western.

CA should start making the factions more unique like having faction drums and regimental flags. The game would look so much more real.
