Can't delete saved games

They are not located in the ...Paradox Interactive/Hearts of Iron III/save games folder.
please help as I'm tired of the clutter in my save games menu in game.

You could try searching for files that match the save game names.

What about in Hearts of Iron III then?

You could try searching for files that match the save game names.

tried that, nothing comes up. I've even given some games unique names (not the typical Germany_1936_01_...).

What operating system are you running? If you're running Vista or 7 they could be stored in the documents folder under your login perhaps.

I've done document searches over my entire computer and no results. Perhaps i'll just live with the clutter. HOI2 did the same thing, I could never find my save games for that game either.

You need to turn on "Compatability Mode" in folder to see the save games, if you're running '7.

Do the compatibilty mode thing.. It worked for me:

How to Use Compatibility Mode in Windows 7

1. Right-click the application shortcut or the application icon to open the menu. (HOI3.EXE)

2. Click Properties from the menu that appears.

3. Click to activate the Compatibility tab in the Properties dialog box.

4. Add a check mark to Run this program in compatibility mode for:

5. Click the drop-down menu containing the list of Windows operating systems and choose the operating system you wish to use from the list.

Note: Choose the operating system that the application you are trying to launch in Windows 7 previously worked with.

6. Click OK to save the changes.

7. Then open up the Saved Games folder and click "COMPATIBILTY" at the top of the folder and it will show you the saved games to delete
