    All units will be recruit able in castles and towns have mediocre stats these will be the base units for the bretonnian army.

    First tier
    so the reasoning here is that we have a base set of units that are recruit able everywhere regardless of castle or town settlement so that bretonnia can raise a cheap defensive army rather quickly...

    Second tier
    will be the more specialized and tougher units, obviously longer times to recruit, slightly higher cost and only available in certain regions.

    Third tier

    will be units available in only one region with limited recruitability high cost and high upkeep


    The added flavour would that (like i RS2) we have the same units recruitable in towns and castles but with their own unique colours and heraldry.
    so i would like input so we can finalise this and put it too bed so we dont change the goalposts for the graphics guy... too much

    If smobody can send me the link with trebuchet unit it will be good.I want this model because I don't have a trebuchet in my mods and game. I have a question what about mercenaries!?!?!?!?

    shouldnt the battle pilgrims be more of an elite infantry unit, rather then a basic generic one? from their description they sound pretty devoted and determined. also from this picture they seem alot more badass to me then say 'men at arms : sword'. Since their fanatical warriors their morale would be much MUCH higher then some common 'men at arms', making them for more valuable in battle, dont you think?

    well the "elite men at arm"s would basically be sword and other specialised heavy troops.

    if you look at the previous posts we want to get the army list reworked and finalised.

    One question: you have men at arms with spears and swords, but what about halberds? (It's the weapon they have in the tabletopgame)

    agreed but with so many units not being lore specific to the bretonni i thought of having the battle pilgrims reliquae unit as an elite..

    and then normal battle pilgrims recruit able on mass aka militias.

    i feel that we need 1 or 2 fodder units and from tabletop the pilgrims seem perfect for the role. But the Reliquae unit will be elite.

    Well this is why we are reworking the army list, the current state is that the Bretonni dont have a variety of heavy and well maintained infantry units and the strength lies in the knightly orders.. while this is true we are also trying to get the right balance for in game.

    But please comments like these are helpful so we can get a clear consensus on what everyone thinks....

    yes like i said it is a good idea but one of the points of us getting so much work done is to make the faction believable (A) lore specific(B) and (C) so it doesnt look like we lumped a generic european faction from MTW2 with new skins...

    The army has to feel right and lore specific. In this regard I will take the next day or so to see what everyone feels about our direction for the faction and take it from there.

    Got all the Bret pics cheers.......

    ...and yes i fully see everybody points that is why i decided to rework the army list, take everyones opinions over the next day or so and recompile the list....

    EDIT: i also used to collect breton table top figures so i know their weapons, strengths and weaknesses im just trying to go forward with everyone interested in the mod,the COW team and my team are all happy about the direction.

    also keep in mind if btretonia have special units like Dead head and karroburg greatswords in Empire it will be great to implement them too.
