Morocco is good and you will be able to make hundreds of thousands of soldiers there to beat the ottomans.
Egypt is better, just find a region with lot of people that you can take.

Morroco and Egypt are both good targets. I would probably agree with eran and say that Egypt would probably be a better choice. Egypt don't usually have any kind of large military and they are close to the Ottomans so if you can take a couple of their regions that would serve you best I think. If you take enough egyptian provinces you will be able to train some armies down there and then hopefully beat the Ottomans in a two front war.

Ally russia and you should be able to take on the ottomans. if you haven't ruined the relations with russia that is, they usually agree to an alliance with greece at game start
Egypt may be good, but beware because it is a target for many great powers. I have always seen France and Britain run for Egypt during first 3 years of the game.
Playing AHD, by the way.
I bought AHD in the sale but haven't played it yet. Are there any new emergent nations at all?
Just curious.
anyone tried VRRP mod for vic 2?
Any mod fix yet the fact that nobody fills up RGOs even though there are legions of unemployed?
It's not that hard beating the ottomans as a small nation, you've got lots of potential to increase technology and boost tech.
So naturally because you've already got a fixed economy, all you got to do is research some military tech. The Ottomans has got terrible tech and litteracy to begin with, and with this advance you can easily beat them. I completely overthrew them playing as Wallachia, not even France or Italy could help them. Same went for Russia as I mercilessly massacred them, resulting in a huge land gain and a neat GP status.
Ottomans got a huge frontier. So have Russians.
I invaded them as modernized China and I never run out of any manpower. But the problem is, a simple club has about 1 million members, compared to European clubs and organizations which have about 500 usual.
Good thing is, I have Russia in control, Japan as a puppet, and I am preparing to invade USA because I am allied with the Confederates. And no one can invade me, because everyone fears the unending supply of men and ammunition I have.
Just having some trouble keeping those rebels at bay, they have also got too many men and brigades.
I have a problem, I'm playing as Spain and I'm trying to build an army in Madrid but I'm having trouble because I'm not getting enough small arms rescources to start construction. It just stalled at 13.40 which I need about 17. I tried to buy more small arms but it's not working.
Don't hate me because I'm beautiful.
That is why you should turn off the auto trading in every resource.
Now if you have a good money reserve, build a small arms factory somewhere close to Madrid, and buy the resources if you don't have them. Stop the auto export if you don't have done so already.
If you don't have enough money, research commerce techs. They increase the money in many ways. And tax your Rich or Middle-Class strata, I recommend taxing the Rich.
Haha, it used to ruin me as well.
I was close to winning the war with Russia as the German Empire because they were noticeably out of supplies. And then, auto-trading somehow exported mass amount of ammunition, canned food, explosives and all kinds of military stuff to Russia, TO MY ENEMY! They renewed their attacks using MY supplies.
Not only that, it sold all of my furniture to France. All of it, nothing remained. I had to buy it again at high price.
EDIT: I have two questions:
1) Is there a way to quickly turn off trade AI? It is tedious work to click on every button and uncheck the option.
2) What is "Use General" option that is seen in military window, over your generals?

Hey guys, I'm really sorry if these questions have been asked before but:
Is there any good tutorials for a beginner? - To Vicky 2 not paradox games in general
And what are some good starting nations that will help me learn the game and not get involved
in anything major?
Thanks in advance![]()

Unfortunately, there are no decent tutorials. The tutorial you get in-game is mostly worthless for a newbie (if you are one). Another thing is, nearly all Paradox games have much similarity in terms of many things, so the tutorials are also mostly same.
Try Belgium for a good start. It is a fairly balanced nation, and you can have a good test run on it for many things.
Belgium may be attacked by Netherlands in the early game, but don't worry, because Britain is there to save you. So you will not get involved in anything major (unless Netherlands is allied to, say France or Prussia).![]()
Well, I just played Belgium, and Britain formed an alliance with Prussia and they both are ravaging whole Europe. Prussia is about to form the German Empire and Britain is upto conquering France. Britain declared war and conquered Netherlands itself.
And yes, capitalists are evil. I want to stop them from building any factories (because I want to build factories myself) but every party I choose allows capitalists to 'ravage' and ruin my nation...![]()
I don't know how A Nation Divided works since I don't have it, but in vanilla Intervention party is always what you want, particularly towards late game.
That means Chinese KMT probably is best party in the game (appear only after 1911 which sucks); Austrian Federalist comes next but it disappears around 1870s which makes me sad.![]()
Well, I do play with A House Divided, but I want to know what type of party is Intervention party. Conservative? Reactionary? Or Liberal? And which nation gets it?
Indeed, and by 1911 China is modernized properly, so that means it is already a great power. Haven't tried out the Australian party though...
