Agamemnon (that's his old name, I think): you have spelled your name wrong!
It is spelled Βασιλευς Αλεξανδρος and not Βασιλιας!
Βασιλευς is ancient greek. I don't know if Βασιλιας is modern greek.

Βασιλιάς is indeed the modern greek word. And in greek we use accents it should be:
    Βασιλεύς Αλέξανδρος in ancient Greek
and Βασιλιάς Αλέξανδρος in Modern Greek
Let’s keep enjoying kings and wizards. But also remember to keep them where they belong.
Where they can do little harm.
    Where they entertain us.

    In fantasies...

I would prefer it if he takes his old name (Agamemnon) again .

Sorry for the accents but I can't write accents in greek words (or at least I don't know a program to write greek with accents).

Most accents can be written with key combinations for example typing 'c makes ç.

These sort of things should be posted in the appropriate thread in the dev group not in the public thread .

Thanks for keeping researchers in line, Radboud.

Anyways. I wanted to let all people visiting this thread to know that we will need a modeler later in development. It'd even be better if you could start on the models right now so once research is over I can get right on to skinning.

I did some researsh about the mycenean armies.
in the earlier years of their power the Myceneans had swordsmen with big 8-shaped shields with no armor. Those of a high importance used longer swords [more than 1 meter long]
Another unit used was the Chariot-Javelimen, with a two horsed chariot.
Copying the techniques of the Minoans they also used Spearmen, Javelimen, Slingers and a light archer unit called "psiloi" [those used small bows].

Later on they began using leather armor and then copper armor, while in the final years of the Empire they used an almost full-plate armor.
Also the hoplites were added in their army, warriors with light or heavy armor, D-shaped shields and long spears, while better archers and swordsmen were used. There were also Chariot Archers and Chariot Catafracts.

Another thing. in the Mycenean Empire the emperor was called "Anax", the army generals "Moropa" while the lords of each major-city were called "Basileu" and the lords of each less important city were called "Korete"

here is a map of Mycenaean greece. The underlined named are the most important settlements
