I have started new campaign with BGR. So far so good, but these mixed up banners can be quite confusing. I play for Teutonic order and they have Kievaian Rus banner.

Question: Kay... If you've already applied the banner fix do you need to do it again? If so just yes to overwrite again?

No need to do so if it's already sticking for you.
But overwriting should work fine.

Question: why not work with an installer were you can choose what you want to install optional? As installing SS6.3 at the end you choose you want/or not Gacul's AI,RR,....
But if you would make something like that...perhaps wait a little longer...because the submods and improvements are very active for the moment.

You mean make an installer for the Compilation?

1. It's much more work than just making a zip-file
2. A zip-file works just as well as an installer for most things, and there's usually much fewer screens you have to click through
3. TWC doesn't let you upload .exe files, so the installer would have to be put inside a zip-file, making even more hoops one has to jump through

I'm not sure I understand you there. The fixes don't need a installer, the normal SS6.3 already has the ss_setup.exe to select those options and his submod collection supports this selection by the SS6.3 setup...

I'm mid campaign, I dont want to restart for the fourth time, what all does this "fix" and what is save game compatible? Thx for the help and +rep for the Compendium.

It completely removes the Advisor that pops up with random advice all the time. The advisor can apparently often interfer with the BAI and cause crashes.
Yes, should be save-game compatible. Should even apply to on-going games.

It installs the files with administrative priviliges hopefully bypassing the "I extracted the files 3 times and still got the lithunian banner wrong" issue. That and its easier.

Okay, that first thing is a pretty good point.
I don't really see how it's easier, though, as there's many more screens to click through than with a zip-file, plus it either has to be hosted on another site and linked to, or hosted here within a zip-file.

Do we have to be that technical? Seriously?
Its easier because it already points to the standard path of the SS6.3 install so you have to start, click yes to uac, click install, done.
So if you zip it here as an attachment you have download zip, extract zip, start exe, click yes to uac, click install, done.
If you use the zip, you have to hit extract, navigate to the target, and go, hit yes to overwrite (maybe multiple times) and done.
Not to mention my "good point". And neglecting that some folks don't have 7zip although its good and free.

That said both versions are now mentioned in the bug reports topic and the release post.
And my third edit: I'm not advocating the replacement.

Most un-zippers, except for the one built into Windows, can un-zip .7z files.
