Save no longer working ..

Any of them.. i re-started my computer and now my it crahses to the desktop when i try to load a game.. i can start a brand new campaign .. but none of my saves work .. anyone else have this.. or is there a fix? Id hate to start over i had a nice campaign going


Edit.. I managed to be able to open the save files with just regular Empire and continue my USA campaign though im not sure if that will change anything in the end
