Time for the next pic. Inspired by Nicolasete, I edited the image a bit. The person I'm asking about is the WWI general in the orange circle, not Khan Boris or the EW map As a hint, it could be said that he was one of the military leaders of his nation's army:Spoiler Alert, click show to read:

Finnish Jaeger-General Vaino .L.R. Valve, the last surviving Trooper (I admit I don't quite know what that references exactly as he was a veteran of both WW1 and WW2 and fought for both Finland and Germany).
p.s. L.R = Lahja Rikhard, I had to translate the wiki page - which translated his middle names as 'Gift Richard'.

Correct! your turn + rep added
I've had a couple of posts knocked over in quick time lately, lets see how you go with this.....
The above photo appears in his biography but gives few clues, so here's a more typical image of this well famous person:
warsitz? forgot his first name tough, but i believe he was a pilot during ww2 and trained others?
Yes, Erich Warsitz . The German test pilot who became the first jet pilot in the Heinkel He.178, he also flew the first purpose built rocket plane, the Heinkel He.176 (the version flown is the one depicted in the diagram on the linked page, a photo of it can be found in the ID plane, tank, ship etc thread here - #4010) and many others. At the end of the war he was kidnapped by the Russians and spent 5 years in a Siberian gulag when he refused to co-operate.
I find it interesting that when searching for photos of him, there were none of him uniform. I think this is very unusual for a hero of the Reich and can only conclude it to be the result of some deliberate action to remove such photos from the record. Any insights or thoughts on this, anybody?
I found some.

Under the Patronage of the venerable General Brewster
Yeah, I saw that one but I wasn't convinced it's him. This guy looks older (Warsitz was only 39 at the end of the war) - look at the hands.
Chesser's picture is Walter von Brauchitsch, one of the most incompetent people in the Wehrmacht.
Hermann Hoth.
From the picture picture you can clearly see that he's German, and there seems to be a shack in the background, which immidiately popped up as "Eastern Front" in my head
Then, a google search of "German generals in Russia" revealed it
