    Good guess, but no.
Hint 2: There are almost no known facts about his private life, but if legend is to be believed, his wife was an intriguing, vengeful skank who manipulated and seduced him into going to war against her former suitor, because said suitor had slapped her with a glove, when she turned him down.

    Heh, yes.

Hint 3: Our mystery character died only 5 weeks after reaching the peak of his power. But he had laid the foundation for his son to build upon, which would earn his son the nickname -the Great.

Sweyn Forkbeard? first Danish King of England and also King of Denmark and Norway. Son of Harald Bluetooth - the Viking in the barrel from the historic event thread (and yes, he is the source of the name for the 'hands free' telephone system), and father of Cnut the Great.

Quite an interesting character. Recommended reading, although the various chronicle writers probably put a bit of spin to the stories, even if only half of it is true, they sure knew how to live life back than

I'm seriously considering Viking Jesus or crusader Jesus. You'd think the lord would show up to lead his own armies, geez.

Yep It's Jesus re-incarnated, I think it's Grand Master Huge de Payne? He was French Crusader, but that name!

It is Hugues de Payne, co-founder and first Grand Master of the Knights Templar. Baigent and Leigh (Holy Blood, Holy Grail) would probably agree with Lord Oda as well.

Could someone rep Samraat Mahendra for me please? thanks.
