Anyone can take my turn
Anyone can take my turn
Ok, so if you don't want your turn I'll accept I give you +rep by the way and thanks.
So here you have, this is an easy one!
Don't think I've ever seen that picture before, but the beard, hairdo and staring eyes look like Lucius Brutus.
Under the stern but loving patronage of Nihil.
No, but it is Roman too, you are pretty close and they share the first name! Ch'mon I'm givin' you a lot of clues!
I'm pretty sure that Visna is spot on with her guess, since the picture you've provided is actually Lucius Iunius Brutus, to whom Visna was referring too.
God Damn It and Bloody Hell! I found the picture as Lucius Tarquin Superbus but in the french search (and no, Iam not french) as Tarquin le Superbe
(here is the link: http://voyagesenduo.com/italie/rome_..._histoire.html )
Well I will give +rep for both and, if Aikanár doesn't mind, the turn will be for Visna
Happens to the best of us, so don't worry please. Also, no problem at all, of course the turn is Visna's
Don't know how obscure he is, but a hint is that he's one of the few people whose name has turned into a noun. "He's a...." for example. It has previously been used in verb form too.

Indeed.
Under the stern but loving patronage of Nihil.
General Manuel Goded Llopis from Spain. Failed to lead a successful insurrection in Barcelona and was executed.
Yes, that's Goded, the less known member of the fascist triad, together with Mola and Franco. When the fascist responsible for the coup d'etat in Barcelona chickened out, Goded immediately replaced him, a brave act that got him executed. It's a pity that Franco and the rest of his gang didn't follow Goded's example.
