    I haven't managed to start the game yet. When I run ss I get a 'Cannot locate kingdoms.exe. Is it in your m2tw folder?'.
    kingdoms.exe is in my medieval 2 folder so this is a problem. Can anyone help with that?

    @Therion
    That's some kind of a graphical glitch, and probably only on your computer.

    @Historydude
    I'll pm y2 about that issue since he can send me the right .tga.dds files in no time.

    @TheKnightRoberts
    Can you go inside your stainless steel folder?
    backspace twice and tell me if you see kingdoms.exe there, and tell me what folder did you land in too
    If thats not working then move SS into a directory like c:\games or something like that and run launcher again.

    Thanks for the help Gracul, but I decided just to reinstall kingdoms. I remember messing around with the original m2tw folder and downloading alternative exe files when I downloaded the rr/rc compilation.
    I changed the names of the exe files around and I think I lost the original
    But nothing will stop me from my historically accurate medieval turn based strategy gaming!!!!!!!!

    Byzantine navies are reffered too as Roman navies, but family members are byzantine family members. Not sure if this is a bug or not, but thought I'd point it out

    english levy archers seems to be reconsidered infantry... Ctrl+M doesn't choose them, but Ctrl+I does...

    EDIT: seems to be more units which has the wrong unit type... Irish Kerns are also considered infantry... and I THINK I saw another unit with the wrong type... not sure which though...

    Lithuanian Generals Shield and Weapon texture is still wacky. 3/4 of the Shield is Silver Surfer and Sword has what looks like shield texture on half of it.

    Did you follow my instructions fully? Did you rename the files and put them in the proper folders?

    Bug: SS_setup.exe and launcher.exe fail to start. Error message: "Create process failed; code 14001."
    See: Problems installing 6.3
    Solution: Install Microsoft Visual C++ 2008 Redistributable Package

    Ok, not really a bug... maybe it should be added in the faq or as a prerequisite.

    Byg's Grim Reality IV Specific Bugs:

    BUG #1: Scutage Tax CTD thread here

    BUG #2: Start-of-game agents all have supply traits (i.e. 100% Army Supplies - though they don't increase/decrease each turn). Recruited agents seem unaffected, but agents granted at game start (checked spy, diplomat, merchant, cardinal) have the traits.

    Accuracy Issues:

    ISSUE #1: Bohemond di Taranto was the Prince of Antioch during 1100 A.D. after the First Crusade, I can't find any sources to suggest he was associated with Edessa, yet he is now the governer of Edessa in The Crusader States' early era campaign in 6.3, whereas in 6.2 + RR/RC he was correctly the governer of Antioch.

    Of course. I tried twice. Three times even! Redownloaded and tried again. If I didn't listen to rules well, I really shouldn't be helping people out at all.

    But is there any chance you could pm the things you changed so I could look and make sure those changes are there? because i no longer have my originals, just the ones i downloaded from you and put in there

    I got one small bug;

    I disabled RR, yet it still has RR material in the mod.
    Democracy is beautiful in theory; in practice it is a fallacy.

    What kind of material? Disabling RR (I believe) only disables the recruitment restrictions on units.

    History Dude, if you're refering to the faction flags, I had issues following the instructions to... See here:

    Spoiler Alert, click show to read:
    EARLY ERA

    Download EARLY descr_sm_factions.txt and place it in your C:\Program Files (x86)\SEGA\Medieval II Total War\mods\SS6.3\data\campaign\early\data directory. Delete the present 'descr_sm_factions.txt' file and rename the 'EARLY' file to that (descr_sm_factions.txt).

    LATE ERA

    Download LATE descr_sm_factions.txt and place it in your C:\Program Files (x86)\SEGA\Medieval II Total War\mods\SS6.3\data\campaign\late\data directory. Delete the present 'descr_sm_factions.txt' file and rename the 'LATE' file to that (descr_sm_factions.txt).

    ABRA CADABRA

    Now copy & paste the brand new & renamed .txt file for the campaign you're playing (early if early, late if late) to your C:\Program Files (x86)\SEGA\Medieval II Total War\mods\SS6.3\data directory.

    Essentially that's a new file in two directories, and copying one of them into a parent directory.

    I have literally just got this working for me in the last 10 minutes, so it should work for you, too.

    Gracul, your 'KNOWN BUGS' post relating to this fix fails to mention the part about copying the relevent .txt file into the parent data directory; that's probably where people (like me) went wrong.

    Caesar, can you tell me if I'm playing an early campaign, and decide to load a late campaign, I'll need to re-copy the relevent .txt into C:\Program Files (x86)\SEGA\Medieval II Total War\mods\SS6.3\data everytime I change campaign eras?

    Rename the files to just descr_sm_factions and put them in their respective folders (SS6.3\data\campaign\early\data and SS6.3\data\campaign\late\data respectively. Then copy the file into SS6.3\data\ for whatever campaign you're playing currently. Should be savegame compatible.
    He did say; just didn't word it very well - And also gracul neglected to add this part to the first post =]

    Ah yes, you're quite right.

    I have, however, noticed a coded typo in the castles building browser

    No you wont. That's why you copied the two files into the backup folders for each campaign
