The Imperiums logistics are fine. Otherwise they would have been destroyed long ago. If they fixed it to be more reliable (Which would be impossible due to the vagarities of warp travel) then you chaos fools would have no chance as your even less organised.

I don't know if less orgainized is the proper term. As Chaos is capable of launching Black Crusades that are comparable in size if not dwarf Imperial Crusades.Originally Posted by Ulysses S. Grant

Also fine again does not mean as good as it could be with some work. I mean we don't even know what the Imperium's potential is because it never applies itself. It just does what it's doing because of tradition.

I'm pretty sure the chaos are less organized, but ironically, that probably makes them more organized, as they all have to rely on themselves to equip. The IG has to rely on hundreds of planets to equip them.

black crusades may be big, but there only launched a couple thousand years or so, the imperuim launches large scale crusades on a regular basis.
I check into small hotel a few kilometers from Kiev. It is late. I am tired. I tell woman at desk I want a room. She tells me room number and give key. "But one more thing comrade; there is one room without number and always lock. Don't even peek in there." I take key and go to room to sleep. Night comes and I hear trickling of water. It comes from the room across. I cannot sleep so I open door. It is coming from room with no number. I pound on door. No response. I look in keyhole. I see nothing except red. Water still trickling. I go down to front desk to complain. "By the way who is in that room?" She look at me and begin to tell story. There was woman in there. Murdered by her husband. Skin all white, except her eyes, which were red. I tell her I don't give a. Stop the water trickling or give me refund. She gave me 100 ruble credit and free breakfast. Such is life in Moscow

Does it now? Because I think the last large Crusade was Damocles Gulf and that was like 300 or so years ago.
Also the Imperium is more focused on external threats leaving Inquisition to root out heresy.
Chaos is equally concerned with killing itself and it's external foes. There's a reason we're referred to as Chaos.

Black Crusades may be larger than the average Imperial Crusades, but they still get stuck at Cadia.
At least crusades such as the Macharius and Sabbat Worlds crusades got somewhere.

The reason why the imperuim hasnt lauched any crusades in the last 300 years is because of hive fleet kraken, or was that behemoth? I cant keep track of these things.........

Yeah, I'll give you that. Wish you were there for Sabbat Worlds now that was a fight. Though the reason Black Crusades fail is because Chaos isn't really serious about them. It's more "let me use this opportunity to prove myself" rather then "let's kill some Imperial bastards and crash the Imperium".

It was Hive Fleet Kraken that caused the Imperium to abandon the Damocles Crusade.

yeah it also got pretty close to terra, im sure that the imperuim used alot of its military power to stop it instead of lauching crusades against pesky xeno's....

The Imperium still launches minor crusades. For example they recently launched a crusade to push the chaos armies back into the eye during the 13th Black Crusade.

The 40k rulebook says Admiral Quarren launches a counter-attack into the hordes of chaos.
This must be after my fleets destroyed the chaos ships and the blackstone.

Ok, then I'm familar with that one. I thought it was something after that. He managed to gain space supremacy but the ground war is grinding on with Chaos gradually losing it's territory but still possessing a significant majority of the planet.
