Hello everyone. A few of you may remember my failure a few months ago with hosting a hotseat (Because I didn't turn on the dev console for the host. I'm so smart!) I think the main reason for this is that I have a good cohost helping me out, my friend Killer96.
Well, here we go again. I promise to you I WILL NOT SCREW UP THIS TIME. Ok, maybe I will. How about i'm 90% certain I will not.
You all probably know how hotseats work. It's just like that, with a twist :
I'm the pope.
Yep. I'm the Pope. This is a new idea I came up with : "Would hotseats be more interesting if a fair player was ROLEPLAYING as the pope" *That means no excommunicating for no reason, etc. I won't abuse my power.*
So, here are the rules regarding a few things since i'm the pope...
Factions with 7+ favor can appeal to me for a crusade by sending me a message. I'm not sure how i'll decide this yet; maybe by rolling some dice and the higher your favor the bigger chance you have of winning.
I can tell factions to stop fighting eachother if one faction or more in the fight asks me to and has at least 6 favor. Not stopping the war may result in Excommunication. *I will excommunicate you by declaring war.*
Keep in mind the AI might still issue crusades and the pope AI may still tell you to stop fighting. You will probably have to obey the 2nd command, but don't obey the first. There will be more rewards for people who follow my crusades (Possibly florin bonuses of up to 10,000 by the console and 5,000 from my coffers.)
So in other words... Only obey crusades the pope publicly announces.
I'm also considering other things, such as handing out money for people who make priests. Also, who knows. Maybei 'll make missions and have money be rewarded for completing them from the console.
OTHER MORE IMPORTANT RULES :
All battles autoresolve
Cities under siege cannot destroy any buildingswhatsoever!!
You can destroy buildings(if you want) of a captured settlement only after 3 turns of holding it.
No circling armies in order to destroy them entirely (it mean no surrounding enemy army with several single units, because if enemy army is defeated there will be no survivors, and that is bug)
Spawned troops when someone gives you a settlement that is near a war zone have to be disbanded IMMEDIATELY the same turn.
Armies that are defeated in battle by a player that comes after them in the turn list may not move the following turn. This is to make it fair for people who are defeated by players that come before them in the turn list, and thus lose all their movement points
Armies that are defeated in battle may not be attacked on the following turn, as they are banned from moving, either by the game mechanics or by the rule above. They must be allowed to move first, or must be reinforced. If the defeated army retreats to a settlement or fort, this rule does not apply.
One spy per city
Assassins cannot kill family members and generals 6 stars and above.
No trading cities back and fourth to abuse the stacks that spawn
No merchant stacks.
No attacking ships inside ports
With all that said, let's get down to the factions...
FACTIONS :
The Papacy (Pope) - Mr. Tornado
Killer96 - Genoa
TuCoT - Poland.
The Turk - Sicily
Valandur - Aragon
Lord Luka - England
Max.k - The Danes
I would like you al lto comment on my ideas. If you do not like them, I can just take them out.
This hotseat will begin on Monday, August second.
