I sense a scripted event.
Better have Roose stay close to the Twins, alone; to keep them in line.
Will there be a "secret crossbowmen posed as musicians" unit? In the source material they are quite effective!
A suggestion for the Freys: Can you give the Knights of the Crossing the vanilla helms for the Irish Lord's Retinue?

He he. Yeah I'll screenie it quick.
Here ya go. BTW, that isn't actually my computer. That quality is awful. Mine looks stunning.

The Freys look great! Not much different as vanilla knights except the heraldry, like it should be. They used longbows though? I remember imaging them more with crossbows.
We'll see about that in 1.0...
I'll crush the entire army of the north with my vanguard of Walders on horses, and then I'll take out the trash when my foot marches in the Vale, while I simultaneously defend against the Tullys until they have no armies left to send, and I will conquer all the way to Stony Sept.
The reign of the Walders will begin!

thats nice and all but thats the whole point of AOR, the fact remains alone the Freys were not strong enough (therefore the Roaster should suck) to stand against any of the major houses however should the frey player be able to conquer surrounding lords and small houses they should get a more stronger and diverse Roaster to stand against the other greater houses. the Freys should be the most difficult house to play, along with stannis and maybe a little greyjoy. however both Stannis and Greyjoy have mobility and a better navy so it balances out and makes them more deadly.
you want a difficult campaign? try the freys! you want a wedding? dont try the freys!![]()
That's hardly fair.![]()
So the Freys troops will suck just because they're a minor house? Frey troops should be better than most Lannister troops, as all the River lords could field armies better though smaller in number than the Westerlands. Even Lord Frey.
But really. Even though they'll have smaller unit diversity, it's not fair that they'll be weaker.

no you misunderstand me, all im saying is this:
the soldiers dont suck, the Roster sucks, the Freys can field only 1000 knights and 4 thousand spears no matter how tough these guys are i doubt they can hold for even 5 minutes when the Tyrells send their 70 000 men army up there. Freys will not enjoy the variety the other houses enjoy, you are playing a strong minor house, not a great house :|
on custom maps lets say as the Tyrells there are 28 units you can pick from but the freys only have like a dozen units to pick from. why? because the tyrells call upon many house to join while the freys are all alone except some other much smaller houses.
The Tyrells have 28? Wow, you guys are good. Don't worry team, because I'll make it happen for the Freys. I be King of Westeros by the end.
Anyway, now my computer gives me a warning as well.

I suggest elite crossbow men of higher cost (perhaps dressed as musicians?), or perhaps something along those lines to give them something unique mid to late game.
Perhaps pie throwers that have your population reduce with every shot, and can only be recruited in the North?![]()
i remember CoW had some night goblin net-throwers (as in throwing a net and then charging) ...i guess a similar "fishermen" (as in some kind of "special" peasants unit) would be plausible for the riverlands and/or maybe the ironborn too ?
it's a medieval setting so ,even if something isn't mentioned in the books ,maybe it could be used as long as it's plausible...
(in fact if you should exclusively stick to what is mentioned in the books the variaty goes pretty downhill)
kinna like the "huntsmen" units other faction have...
btw , i'd love to see a special reference to the sigil of house tarly (for the tyrell faction) and see a red-hue "huntsmen" unit (archers with a dagger as secondary)
