Manuballistarii
The Manuballista or "Hand Ballista" an early torsion spring crossbow invented by the Romans and first mentioned in the 1st century AD. Such an Advanced poece of equipment was costly to afford, as it had quite a few moving parts and could break if not properly maintianed. Being a ballista, it is very powerful, in fact more powerful than later medieval crossbows, as it has a maximum range of around 300 meters, and an effective range of around 200 meters. It also has large amounts of recoil and the front piece, where the Torsion springs are housed, is sent backwards toward the user when fired. Therefore it needs to be "cocked" like a pump action shotgun when reloading. Because of the expensive nature of the manuballista, upkeep will be around 20 solidi per man.

Idea proposed by, MMFA, but origionally Julianus Heraclius as the unit already exists, we just made a new model from scratch for it to replace the old one.
