Very cool, + rep. Will the Seleucid symbol be the anchor or something else?
Thanks, great work

Thanks CC
@NightEye I was thinking 'bout the typical anchor, but then I found an ancient coin with Seleukos I.
I'm not sure 'bout the colour, but somehow it reminds me of the Seleucids and this could be changed easily
Perhaps someone could send me some unit pics if there should be a more unique style for a faction?
That's great Could you emboss the Mauryan one a little more?
I had planned on having an 8-pointed star with a cresent moon beneath it for Pontus, and a two-headed eagle for Armenia.
For Parthia, I really haven't a clue. For the Belgae, I was thinking a Celtic chariot would be good, or if that doesn't fit, a horse (looking at coins, that would make sense if we weren't already using a horse for the Arverni).

When think of Parthia, i think of Persia and when I think Persia, the most common symbol I can think of is the Faravahar.
So that's what the RTR6 symbol is It isn't strictly correct, but I suppose it's good enough.

Dear CC,
have you got something like original artworks for Pontus? I try to have a unique style for all symbols, you know
I agree...the symbol of the Mauryan Empire isn't detailed enough compared to the other ones Thank you for the pic, Boom!
Hey Nighteye. I like that Faravahar symbol, although it isn't strictly correct
Apparently the Parthia symbol was an eagle of some kind. So that Persian symbol is almost correct - it just needs an eagle's head.

... and here are the final results:
The symbols are the following:
Rome - Barbarian Minifaction - Remi (Belgae) - Pergamon
Macedon - Ptolemies - Seleucids - Carthage
Parthia - Pontus - Arverni (Gauls) - Cherusci (Germans)
Greek Minifaction - Armenia - Getai - Aetolian League
Mauryan Empire - Sarmatians and Sakas - Arevaci (Celtiberians) - Bactria

Well done. Only thing I feel little uncomfortable about is wild board for Cherusci (I think most people associate it with Gauls)
I did kinda just use the VII Arverni one What do you associate with the Germans? I couldn't think of anything (and there are wild boars in Germany).

actually I was a little confused as well since boar was a gaulic symbol.
as for cherusci, your choice ! I can make either if you want.
http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Cherusci#Etymology
The etymological origin of the name Cherusci is not known with certainty. According to the dominant opinion in scholarship, the name may derive from the ancient Germanic word *herut (Modern English hart, i.e. 'deer'). The tribe may have been named after the deer because it had a totemistic significance in Germanic symbolism.[2] A different hypothesis, proposed in the 19th century by Jacob Grimm and others, derives the name from *heru-, a word for 'sword' (cf. Gothic hairus, Old English heoru)[3]
What do I associate with Germans? Not sure, maybe wolf (but it is alredy roman symbol) or bear. Raven is also asociated with germans (and Wotan/Odin) but I guess in later period. But deer would look also good.
Btw. Remi symbol looks very interesting. Was it made for Belgae in VII before they were switched to Luisitani?

Nah, I made that one. It turned out quite well, unlike the other ones I made...

It seems a little late to post my humble opinion, but I would of stuck to the Seleukid anchor -its on their coins and is associated with Apollo, with whom the Seleukids associated themselves, even the Hasmoneans continued to use the anchor as it symbolised royal power in the Syria/Levant area
I guess so... but it is a bit late. I don't think it'll be changed at this point, unless someone wants to take it upon themselves to make a symbol.
