I notice some very interesting chest belt meshes you've seemingly added to "a lot" of the units, enabling the belt to be textured more cleanly. Then as I looked more closely, I recognized sort of familiar geometric irregularities. And the reason they're familiar is that I was looking at a copy of belt from the chest belt mesh I'd jinned up as part of an Achilles model. The Achilles model was originally uploaded in the mod workshop forum to get advice/comments.
Jul14n, responded to that request - uploaded the model to get a more detailed look at the grouping comments, then replied with some very good suggestions and tips. That was in April of this year. And that model had a seperate chest belt mesh. No great innovation but it aided me in defining the belt while not occluding the armor.
It was afterwards that I began to notice chest/shoulder belt textures on most of the units in Eriador. whereas before, typically belts had been textured as part of a larger body map. Also the timing of appearance was close after my input. This caused an itch which that made me look a little more deeply. Then recently I see that Jul14n associates with Taro, Mithrander, Ellesar 789. So OK I get it.
All in all, a small thing. A very small thing, for I'm using textures and meshes freely given from other creators to rehash into new creations. Good artists glad for people to use their stuff. No drama. As for me, I'm working as well to contribute also, new captain/general models for other mods. Its just the way that this occurred rubs me wrong. You know how you know your own work?
