Yeah they are nice but are they optimized for gaming? How many polys are they and are they UV mapped?

I don't know crap about UV modeling. I also think most of them should be good for in-game, except for the Eiffel Tower of course, and if not then I can just make the unseen parts of the models simpler and remove some other parts.

Ok, yeah to go in game they have to be rather low poly and UV mapped so that we can put a texture on them. Also each model needs to have at least 2 versions, one that is relatively low poly and another that is very low poly so that the game runs smoothly when they are being shown.

Right now tho all the tank models for 5.0 are done along with all the arty and mg models.

Panzerschreck would like to use them his map making but even those have to be pretty low poly and UV mapped.

They are great looking models tho

OK, I'll simplify the complicated ones and create a VERY low poly version of each one.

    Yes, something like that

I redid the train campaign model after having seen the vanilla horse cart model and realized mine was way to high poly at around 2200 polys, so rebuilding the model i got it down to about 1250 polys with is about double the vanilla carts poly count. I was able to reduce the poly count partly by using an alpha map to add detail.

And heres what the model looks like before the alpha map...

Hey guys, as has been mentioned before we will be converting spies/rakes into airplanes. Sp i decided to make the Sopwith Pup for the allies and the Fokker Dr1 for the central powers.

    Heres the Sopwith Pup...

Spoiler Alert, click show to read:

All the wires and the prop are done with the alpha channel, Maya does some weird stuff with the shadows so it will look alot better when in game.

    And heres the Fokker Dr1...

Spoiler Alert, click show to read:

The Sopwith is 100% done UV map and all and the Fokker just needs the UV map

So small lesson for those who don't know.

Fokker was a dutch guy the company was founded in The Netherlands, He went over to Berlin for more opportunities and got in the warplane industry. after WW2 he moved back to The Netherlands with the company and made passenger planes not so successful and in 95 if I remember correct the company was bankrupted. the Fokker name is bought by an other company now naming itself Fokker Company which has several dependencies including Fokker Aerospace.

Thought you might want to know that for more information visit your lokal Wikipedia, I'm not an encyclopedia
