sorry guys i didnt posted for some time, but due to RL issues i was occupied otherwise so i didn't had enough of time to work on updates for NER... status is, that combat part is almost ready,i just need to adjust few minor things, and then i will have to rewrite few files into new patch4 format in campaign pack... cant tell right now you when this all will be ready, but i hope it will be soon enough, and result will be worth the time you had to wait.

I don't fault JaM, of course, for having other priorities, but I was going to devote two weekends in August to my MP campaign, so I am wondering if anyone here can suggest a mod that, while maybe not as good as NER, is playable now, and which we could use.

Im playing the MOD NOW and is really good. i have not been able to play once NER because of the patch and im waiting to see wich one i like better. (im not saying NOW is better i can not tell you that because i have not played NER...)

Thanks. NER is good, but it has been unplayable for such a long time that I am willing to try something that actually works.

I used to regard this very much as the Darthmod of NTW but lately it appears to have become the Deathmod .

After trying some other mods like EIC and WWI, I still regard NER as the most playable for my own taste(Haven't tried NOW yet).And everybody should be more patient with the NER team because brilliance requires patience.
And to the NER team: Although we have patience enough, it seems that your progress is indeed a bit slower than other MOD teams

I have great respect for anyone who puts in many hours of their own time to help make a game more enjoyable for others. It's not the lack of progress from the NER team that is beginning to dismay me, but rather the lack of communication. I wish that Darth had taken a shot at NTW, despite his complaints about the lack of modding tools.

That other NTW mods update their mods quite quick doesn't mean that it is the usual case within the whole TW modding culture. And also, only the recent NTW patch slowed down our update releases. Before this, i guess, NER was one of the most quick updated NTW mods.

No need for insults. I have praised NER here and elsewhere, more than once. Believe or not, just as it is not your job to make mods, it is not my job to search the forums to try to get information. The "update" you said I was too lazy to read I certainly did read, and you cannot claim it gave much in the way of information, other than that JaM was busy and didn't know when he would get things finished.

I agree it was updated, and there were many reports, in the past. Can you understand why some people might be disappointed that these things are no longer happening?

It is not the thing that you haven't praised NER, but just the underlying post-content, which implicates that we must have a bad feeling vs. the updating process of other NTW mods.

As for information-content, in principle valid is just: The NER update gets its release, when it's finished, simply as that. While it might be, that the first next release is just a compatibility fix for NTW patch4, plus some small NER content updates for the combat (solely done by JaM), just not with the scale that was planned ... just because it is summertime, vacation-time, busy RL time, lack of human resources, engagement(s) in other projects ... everything what you can imagine.
And to all: Of course this mod is not the "Deathmod", what was assumed by one poster.

Really, all this posting-style above makes no fun, and is imo. obsolete. Even you mention Darth would make it better, if he would mod NTW, annoying, and as well a kind of an insult to the NER project, a (hidden) discreditation.
What do you expect more than that the developers give you info from time to time, that their RL is busy combined (if this is just the case) with "i'm sorry" and what is left to do, what JaM always expresses? Think about it.

Edit: I have to consider to close this thread, if it goes still more into the recent direction.
