Character Showdown: Group One
We're done with the preliminaries, now onto the groups of four. Poll will be open for 24 hours just like the preliminaries, this time however you only get TWO votes. One cast in the actual poll and the other given in a reply. At the end of the 24 hours the top 2 characters will move on towards the final 16.
Now that we're down to 32 total characters we'll make this a little more personal. I'll make it typical to include little blurbs and what not about the characters in the groups...
Revan (aka Darth Revan or the "Revanchist"):
Revan was a character in Star Wars: Knights of the Old Republic. Once a Jedi Knight, Revan and his apprentice Malak were turned to the Dark Side after making contact with the mysterious Sith Empire after the Mandalorian Wars. Having disappeared from the galaxy for an extended period of time, Revan and Malak returned and betrayed the Jedi and the Republic - launching the Jedi Civil War. When all seemed lost for the galaxy the Jedi managed to ensnare the two Sith Lords in a trap, but before Darth Revan could be dealt with Malak betrayed his master and had his own vessel fire upon Revan's flagship. Mind shattered, memories unclear, and thought to be dead, Revan disappeared...*spoiler*
In KOTOR it is discovered that the player character is Revan. From there, the player can choose to either re-embrace their Dark Side or turn over a new leaf and rejoin the Jedi - saving the galaxy. For more info on Revan click here.
Death's Hand:
From Jade Empire, Death's Hand is the right-hand of Emperor Sun Hai. Completely covered in armor, the character's identity is relatively unknown. What is known is that he is one of the more imposing and feared characters of the Jade Empire itself and he is the leader of the Lotus Assassins. For more on Death's Hand click here
Zaeed Massani:
Zaeed is a renowned bounty hunter and mercenary in the Mass Effect universe. Long before you recruit him in Mass Effect 2, Zaeed is discovered to be one of the founding members of the Blue Suns mercenary gang who was betrayed and almost killed by his partner Vido Santiago. Zaeed is your typical hard-ass and because of this and his no-nonsense attitude, has become one of ME2's more favored characters among fans. Unfortunately, Zaeed is a DLC character and thus does not have the same amount of depth as characters like Miranda, Garrus, or Tali do. For more on Zaeed click here
Oghren:
A dwarf warrior and alcoholic, Oghren is the only party member made available in both Dragon Age: Origins and the expansion Dragon Age: Origins - Awakening. In the dwarven city of Orzammar, Oghren married another dwarf named Branka who later becomes a revered Paragon. Years later, Branka takes herself and her entire household excluding Oghren and goes into the Deep Roads - never to be seen again. The search for Branka becomes one of the main driving plot lines in DA:O during the players' trip to Orzammar. For more on Oghren click here
