PDGURU'S PICTURES FOR
BACKGROUND & LOADING SCREENS V2.0

Some of you will be familiar with the images I share on the 'Pictures and Videos' thread and other places, so I have put together this little mod with 25 screens using some my most recent images.

The mod:

1. Replaces the loading screen for land and sea battles BUT: Be aware you lose the battlefield deployment areas template
2. Provides 25 other images for other load times (see attachment Loading Screens_V2.zip) for all screen images used)
3. Uses only in-game graphics (plus enhancements)

Credits: Thanks go to Zbroslo, who's file structure enabled me to do this, and all those who continue to provide feedback and ideas on my screen shot endeavours! Smoke and dust in images courtesy of rikktherek's A Whiff of Sulphur.

Installation

Loading Screens

1. Attached Mod (loading_screen_mov_zip) is the revised table in movie format - just drop it in your data folder.
2. Download another file from Megaupload which has the actual images: http://www.megaupload.com/?d=59SRA0BS
3. Unzip the loading_screen_pictures folder to your Data/UI folder (i.e. you must create a new folder in the UI folder called "loading_screen_pictures" and put the .tga images in it) .
4. You should be good to go!

Background Screens

Each of the screens in the "Loading Screens V2" folder attached are given so you can preview the loading screens and can be used as your desktop background by right clicking on it, and selecting "Set as Desktop Background" option. You might want to resize the one(s) you use to get the best results - I will leave that to you!

Having problems getting this to work. When I load up a custom battle I don't see your screens. I see the normal deployment map and a black background

Pd it would appear you have edited the table but forgot to add the new screens to the .pack. May i suggest you add them then reupload... I was pretty sure 886 bytes would not be enough for 25 1600*900 images.

what? your the dude who does the in-game screens? didnt realize. I was just about to drop in your flags and was like, "hmm might as well get those in-game screens ive been wanting for a while."

well i like this mod but i tried it and on battle loading screen i nolonger see that map that shows me the map and where i spawn and so on is this something wrong or is it supposed to be like that

Glad you like it. Unfortunately, you do lose the deployment screen (not that it's really key given you get the wee it at the deployment screen anyway). That's what i meant in the main posting above: "Replaces the loading screen for land and sea battles BUT: Be aware you lose the battlefield deployment areas template"

I hope you can enjoy the new screens without it!
