    Yes it does. There is a whole table there explaining all the bonuses/penalties that each unit quality gets.

    Also used in India and Korea, as well as nomadic peoples bringing wagons with them as they migrated.

    That guide is pretty old, there have been many tweaks since then, but the basics apply.

    Yes, Koreans used them to great effect v. the Khitan heavy cavalry during their many wars in the 10th and 11th century. Koreans also used them versus samurai cavalry during the Imjin War that began in 1592.
