[Question]How to change battle flags?

Hello everybody

I've been playing Napoleon for a while now and I've noticed that there does not seem to be any individual battle flags, I was wondering if anyone knew how to change this?

They are in data/ui/flags/<faction>. You will notice three new flags (plus one for naval) that they do not exist in Empire: id_flag_artillery.tga, id_flag_cavalry.tga, id_flag_infantry.tga. You have to change all three of them.

To change the flags the standard bearers are holding? Are you sure cause when I did that it changed the flags floating above the units

If you mean standard-bearers, actually, there are standard-bearers in some of units (Line infantries maybe, I haven't paid much attention). I've seen them, however, the flags they were carrying were very small.

Yes, sorry that post didn't make much sense but when I tried to change the files you suggested it changed the British flags floating above the soldiers heads to Austrian ones (Not what I was trying to do Lol)

Anyway, thanks for the help but is the file I'm looking to change the large.tga file?

No these are the flags. Probably something went wrong and loads the fist available which are the Austrians.

Hey, I'm looking to do the same thing as Swiss Guard, so to add in battle flags all I have to do is change the id_flag_artillery.tga, id_flag_cavalry.tga, id_flag_infantry.tga. files?
Also, I was wondering how I would change the main (state) flag for a nation? \

That is for battle flags.

Also, I was wondering how I would change the main (state) flag for a nation? \

That is a little more complicated. See my tutorial here and focus in flags creation.

Thanks, but one more question, how do I change the naval flag for a nation, I have looked everywhere but I cannot find one denoting the flags that ships carry.

That's in rigidmodels.pack\flags\textures\naval_id0.dds

But can you replace a .dds with a .tga?
Also, I'm having the same troubles as Swiss, when I try and replace the battle flags it changes the ones floating above their heads.
(I'm trying to change the standard bearers flag)

If you see flags floating over units then a mistake has been happened. Here is my Serbian flags from Balkan Mod:

About naval the easiest way is to copy in .dds the .tga you'll make for naval flags, replacing the old round flag of the faction you want to be changed. Just make sure to fit exactly over the old one in .dds.
