What weapons are the best? (and wtf?)
Hi there. Just returned from a small trip down to Edinburgh and my recent Forge World order arrived
Thank god for human error! Instead of 5 Death Riders, I received 6. They are absolutely magnificent. Forget the pictures you see of them, you need to see them in person. Compared to the ponies you find in the LOTR range the horses are tall and bulky. They are literally some of the best miniatures I have ever seen.
Now, each one of them is equipped with a Power Sword and Las Pistol sheathed and holstered respectively, with a Lance as the main weapon.
Here's my options. I can make the Sergeant have a Plasma Pistol and Power Weapon (although that'd look silly having another Power Sword as there's already one on them anyway - although I could say those are just ceremonial). I can also give two of them a Plasma Gun, Melta Gun, Grenade Launcher or Flamer.
What do you think would be the best loadout for them? Plasma Pistol on the Sergeant with 2 Plasma Gunners too? Or a Chainsword on the Sergeant? What about Melta Guns and Flamers? If I gave the Meltas, then the power weapons, explosive lances and Melta weapons would make them a fairly fast light anti-tank unit.
What's your thoughts?
PS: WTF happened while I was gone!? This forum now has loads of active threads! It used to take hours for a single post!
