during the SYW the prussian fusiliers had the tricorn and the grenadiers had the mitre, but around 1780 they switched to the "kaskett", Musketeers, grenadiers and fusiliers used it, the only difference was in the emblem, the royal cypher for the musketeers, a grenade for the grenadiers and an eagle for the fusiliers. In 1798 they changed again, the musketeers were provided with a bicorne, the fusiliers with a shako and the grenadiers with a fur-trimmed hat.
i have some pics, maybe they could be useful.
These Prussians are great!!! good for a "prussia late XVIII century mod" maybe!!!!!![]()

Congratulations!!!
i'm trying to search some pics regarding the russian line infantry, except for the guards, during Suvorov's campaign in Italy in 1799 the vast majority of russian infantry still had the old coat used during the turkish and polish campaigns of 1787 and 1792, who had the same cut of the british 1768 pattern (American war of independence), with red gilet and trousers and white gaiters, tricorn for musketeers and mitre for grenadiers. Only the guard regiments had the new jacket closed to the waist.
here's a pic that shows well the prussian grenadier hat used during the revolutionary wars!

found!!!!
Russian Sapper from an unknown grenadier regiment in 1799. The bulk of infantry used the same coat, with red trousers and gilet. I correct my previous post, the gaiters were black or white depending on the regiment.![]()
