Alledged issue with Megaupload

I have heard from some Close friends and Looked up some info about Mega upload being infected, apparently its calleda Mushroom virus and people have lost everything on there hardrives! Please look out for this and try not to use Mega upload until the problem is Dealt with!

(BTW I know it seems like I am trolling, but its true that alot of files have recently been infected!)

(and dont call me a deuch just because I am the one who has brought this news to you)

a couple of close friends and I just googled it and found some random sharefile thingamajigs saying things about an

"infected mushroom virus" ect ect

I heard something about this as well. I will avoid MegaUpload mirrors for some time forward, which is a great shame since they RULE! But I'm sure the problem will be resolved in time. I'd rather not download something in a while than risk my disk being swiped. I have my whole life on there xD

Em, i think what you mean is some files have virus's as with any file hosting service and some files dont. Megaupload has nothing to do with it, it just hosts the files, the people that upload the files would be the ones responsible. I cant imagine the MU server having a virus which affects all files uploaded to it.

If you type "Megaupload infected" on google, you will have suggestion as megaupload infected mushroom. Infected Mushroom is an israelian music group so you will certaintly found files on them because people share music by megaupload.

I downloaded a couple of the mods on here and it used MegaUpload. While doing a scan on the file my virus program detected and blocked a Trojan. Not sure if that was caused by MegaUpload or not and I'm by no means saying that it is. It's just what I experienced twice while downloading from MegaUpload. I still use MegaUpload, I just scan my files before unzipping them.
