Thread: Georgia and Dagestan overhaul?

    Default Georgia and Dagestan overhaul?

Georgia and Dagestan really stick out in their geographical location with their current unit roster.
They have a typical westernized unit roster as generic as can be:
line infantry, line cavlary, militia, artillery. With all generic unit stats.

This is very disturbing, since they are surrounded by Russia, Persia and the Ottomans which all have more or less eastern style rosters, characterized by reduced accuracy due to lack of formal training and lower quality of weapons and increasing (from west to east) reliance on melee troops and larger size units.

Given historical dominance of Mongols and Persians (in the XVIII century) in these regions, one would expect Georgia and Dagestan to have rosters much more alike to those of Persia or Ottomans, in any case rosters with a lot more informal units than standard European armies.

This is kind of glaring historical inconsistency.
Is there a mod that addresses this?

There is a Persia Sub-mod for DM which is WIP and could maybe tackle this problem efficiently, given the unit similarities, at least in fashion sense.
