Man i have to go with 1st the lancers 2nd old guard 3rd chasseurs 4th grand battery of the convention 5th eclaireurs ( to me they are very important because of precision especially if they have a lot of experience )

As a few said at the beginning, I think Lancers are deadly. They get the charge bonus and they can gallop like light cavalry which is especially good at the end of the battle when cleaning up the enemy..

I also like German Grenadiers. With Austria, I use them a lot and they change the battle with the extra firepower. They are less expensive than Guard or most other elites.

Finally, I would say that Light troops are indispensible.

i remember 3 line infantry run like a coward against my 1 grenadier.
