Rep for info on Multiplayer Mod Communities.

I tried posting this in general discussion with zero response so I thought I'd try here and play the rep card. Surely someone knows something about this. I will give rep for any relevant info on this topic. Drip feed it if you like the more info the more rep.

Are there are any thriving multiplayer mod communities out there? I played NTW2 for a while and it was very easy to get a game. Just wondering if there are any others out there I haven't come across. I'm always eager for new challenges. So I'd be glad to make contact with anyone who can point me in the right direction.

I own every title in the series so I can play basically anything. Mods I'm interested in straight off the bat are Stainless Steel and Third Age. Would be quite interested in any more realistic gunpowder oriented MTW2 mods if such a thing exists. I'm just as interested in mods for earlier titles if they are well done a bit different and have a community that meets to play them.

Yeah most major mods have their own mp subforums, I'm pretty sure TATW and BC still do.

Do you mind sharing? I'm always up for mp mods, I can never find people in the gamespy lobby willing to play them.

Which is one reason why I stopped playing.

... but its so extremely simple to do this. even more so when you have 30 clanmates who all use xfire. it goes as such
Player 1: "Hey dude, wanna some people up on Rome?"
Player 2: "sure but make sure we get some decent players that dont lag like "
Player 1: "Dont worry about laggers, if just call the game "2v2" no russians will find it"
Player 2: "kay, logging on after i get some metal going on WMP"
Player 1: "KK"
Player 2: "aw dude what the , how come there are so many new clans?"
Player 1: "dunno, but im sure Darwinism will kill off the bad ones"
Player 2: "yeah."
Player 1: "Aight ppl are joining"
Player 2: "Welcome all, CWB rules"

A very conservative estimate would have it that just over 100.000 people play EB, or have played it at some point in their lives. Of those, I only know of two or three dozen who have played online, haha!

If you're talking about battles, neither is better than the other. They're either the same ****, or the same greatness, if you catch my drift. You connect the same way, so complaints for one apply to the other naturally.
