Question on battles

Im new to this mod.

First I wanted to say this mod is awesome it really captures the dirtiness of combat.

My question is though I noticed in custom battles that before charging the enemy
throws javelins at my line for a long time. Then starts the charge.
Was that historically accurate assuming that's what you guys are going for hear??

I know that it was normal to throw javelins at the enemy before charging but did they do it as long as
in this mod??

When the team finishes with ATW Conquestus Britannia we will probably go back and take a look at the unit stats for IB2. Possibly lower the number of javelins thrown by a unit.
