Nah, I played as De Vermandois family the last male line descendants of Charlemagne and was at the time King of France, I married my niece since she was the daughter of the King of England but I had forgotten that my characters sister was the King's wife and the children that he got with his niece had some ridiculous defects. I was also worried for a while since I only had one non-incest son but fortunately he got several kids of his own and most of the incest kids died off.

So right now I have two problems that is becoming rather annoying, the first one is that I can't give away count level vassals to their de jure owners which makes them pissed at me and the other is then when I attack countries for claims for a duchy my newly created duke only gets one measly county while the rest are still in enemy hands.

Invite someone into your court or usurp the ducal title to take all the counties at once.

That's exactly what I'm doing inviting someone who has a claim on the ducal title but then when I press their claim I can only get one of the counties in the duchy to make them Duke over while the rest stays in the enemy realm.

Well it's quite odd since at times I get the whole duchies and other times I just get a county even though the clainmant I am fighting for have a claim on the entire duchy.

Yes I very well know that but I find it odd that I can't get the entire duchy when I have someone who has a claim on it and only get one of the counties.

It is a recurring ritual with every new P'dox game to perish early in the very first game.

I think Paradox prides themselves in creating games where you have to learn everything yourself.
