The small text and poor fonts are a problem for games that are mostly about reading. There is no reason for it.
It's what puts me off most of their games.

Yep. That and that I was just playing a bit of the Byzantine duke last night to try some more and the map views are horrible. CK1 had great maps that instantly told you all you need to know, the 12 mapviews in this version are all basically useless. At least the CoAs could be bigger so you could have some idea about who's what provinces. Hopefully they'll fix these soon but still pretty bad for how long they've been working on this game and it supposedly being the most tested game yet. Only thing I like is that the terrain map for once isn't hideous and I don't mind playing on it.

Playing a game as the Duchy of Meath in Ireland and my character changed to Orthodox. Now I'm his son and he, and half the court, is after changing to Sunni. What the hell? Is there any way of choosing to change religion in this game?

Alright I got the demo and tried out the Byzantines and got so completely overwhelmed that I just quit. I then tried a game a Sevilla using the trick someone mentioned earlier and had a blast! I hope they leave that glitch in so I can play them in the full release! Maybe make some mods to give the Andalusian realms some events and stuff.

You can play anyone you want in the full version, no glitch needed.

Everything that I've read on the forums on the subject has confirmed that Muslim/pagan characters will be "playable" in the full game just as they are in the demo.

I don't know if it has already been said, but you can play as Muslim/pagan (and Zoroastrian if there ever are any) feudal characters the same way you can play as non demo-characters in the demo. Just quickly select the character after pressing play with a valid characters.

God I love this game. It's so much better than I thought it would be, and it's only the demo! I'm really excited about it now and I'm starting to get used to it.

One thing I'm still a little confused on is succession. In one of my games as Earl of Desmond (Ireland), I had become Duke of Munster and all was going while. But then I got the "Loss of Title on Sucession" message. My son was my heir and was already the Count of Kent, and apparently he would get all my titles. I had to quit before my character died, but wouldn't my son just get all the land I own and keep the title of Count of Kent? Then couldn't I just make the Duke of Munster as my primary title?

But I agree This game is so amazing. I have to hate that they are releasing it just as I begin my semester studies , All I can think about all day is how I'm going to continue my game as King Valdemar I 'The Great' of Denmark.

Depends on succession law; some laws would divide your titles to your sons.

I only had one son, and the succession law was Gavelkind (or whatever) Succession.

I am pretty sure succession laws are in fact determined by three law terms, not just one.

I get a message saying "The Invasion is here" or something, referring to the mongol invasion of course. The problem is, with this message I for some stupid reason receive 5000 gold and 20 pagan courtiers who just invade my court, asking me to make them marshal etc.

I'm not complaining at the 5000 gold, but why? And Why the hell did they come to my court in Copenhagen? Does anyone know what the just happened lol?

So you're taking glitch playing them as 'playable'. I meant playable as in by normal use of the game and meant to be played, which while I was following the game just a few months ago the mods would always yell at people and close threads for asking for pagans muslims and republics to be made playable as they were not going to be.

Doesn't the demo stop at 1086? Why would the Mongols show up that early?

Also, does anybody have advice on playing as the Norman Duke in Naples/Apulia? Every time I try to play them I get pounded on by the North African princes on the Barbary Coast before I have time to react! The only way I can fight them off is to go bankrupt hiring Condottieri bands to defend my homeland until they accept White Peace.(Upon which of course the next Wali or Sheikh steps up and invades! )

It's a bug. it's the mongols that are supposed to get all that money.
