Technology is pretty much the exact same as CK1 except for the sending advisers away thing, isn't it? At least as far as I remember. And we knew about sending advisers away for a while now.

As for the message thing, I'm confused about that, so we can adjust it any way we want, so long as the messages are in the stupid message log? I want popups dammit!

He said it was like Victoria 2 (and we know that the same system has been put into EU3 since now in the latest expansions). So, if you so wished, you could probably enable more popups than you ever wanted. So I wouldn't worry.

Ok, haven't played either so wasn't sure, just sounded like he was saying only certain things could and would be popups no matter what and everything else just icons or message log things, which I never use the message log.

On half related matters, finally figured out how to fix CK! Unfortunately I'm not in the mood to start a new game now. Just nice to know I can if I want to.

oh oh, was it the bloated save files from all the generated characters who never get hired, don't have parents, never get married, and have no children?

That may have been what ruined my saves but the game wasn't even loading a new scenarion anymore. Turns out it was some simple stupid graphics problem, fixed by changing the name of a file in the directory.

you can easily play as armenian, just play as a byzantine armenian duke. You can declare war on anyone like the neighboring Muslims but to declare war on you they MUST declare war on the byzantine empire so its not too difficult.
