300 Spartans vs 300 Samurai = Spartan win

1 Spartan vs 1 Samurai = Samurai win

Although I'm sure Spartans would put up a good fight

What is this "Samurai" army you are talking about? The heavy horse archers of 12~13th century? The heavy cavalry and foot archers of the 14th century? The pikemen, arquebusiers and lancers of the 16th century?

Umm, why? Without horses, Samurais wouldn't have existed in the first place. It's like taking away the shield from a Hoplite.

Dito. Non-contest. A Samurai would win easily.

..and of course the Samurai spent time actually training .. the Spartans ..buggering little boys. Little wonder their institutionalised homoerotic totalitarian empire collapsed for want of manpower.

the Samurai lost because of the massive shield the spartan was wielding, it makes sense that the Spartan won, he just smashed the samurai into the ground and stabbed him

Maybe a samurai would lose from a spartan. But a Spartan army vs a Samurai army would be lethal for the spartans. It's funny to see that people praise spartan's after they've seen 300.

Also why the heck was the ninja hitting his sheild? He could've easily hit his legs, or pull our a katana and slice his unprotected neck, arms, back of legs. Besides why the heck would a samuri wait till the spartan was a swords reach away from him to shoot the arrow. Totally illogical.

What's even worse about that show is the pirate vs. knight...

Dude its gunpowder vs. a dude on a horse, with a lance and sword. It doesn't even matter since gunpowders whole purpose was to penetrate armor. Don't even mention the modern warriors, those are just beyond dumb.

lol, I didn't even like 300 that much. The shield pretty much rapes the samurai.

Explain how the samurai would go about killing the Spartans 1000 v. 1000.

Well same goes for the fact that too many people have seen Samurai movies and think that every Samurai was a master at archery & sword fighting - the fact is they were not. Most of samurai armies was made up of farmers & peasnants (and some time even Tom Cruise) the Spartan army was raised for war, their birth rite -nothing else crossed their mind ...agh except for sum bum funwith their fellow soldiers - everybody needs a hobby i guess
