I play a very random game and it is made by one person: http://www.urbanprophet.com/Nuke/htm...hp?name=Forums Forums and http://www.urbanprophet.com Main page( It is a defense game against germans as allies).
So what unknown games you play?

'They thought i was stupid but i proved them' Phillip J. Fry
Futurama, mine favorite show!
Correction, It is now My Little Pony.
Not sure if this counts but Jagged Alliance 2, it's next to unheard of among young and/or mainstream gamers

Basically you play as a middleman working for a certain someone who needs you to get rid of a cruel dictator of a small east European(?) country in this top down turn-based strat game where you hire mercenaries with varying talent and personalities and if you wish, create a game representation of yourself join in the pain giving.
Though there's only one campaign and most of its story is linear, it's a very long that along with taking out the dictator's army you have manage your income and the loyalty of the towns you.

I used to absolutely LOVE playing this game http://www.soldat.pl/en/ It's called Soldat and it's basically a 2d shooting game. One of the funnest games i've ever played. We used to play lan at school during classes when we were on computers. If you're looking for some time to kill, i recommend this game. The 3 songs that come with the game are absolutely perfect for the absolute slaughter in this game. Machine guns, rifles, grenade launchers, rocket launchers, cluster grenades, chainsaws, knives, pistols, snipers. Incredibly fun Highly recommend it! There's also plenty of blood and gore
Used to play an MMORPG called Roma Victor, was pretty cool 180 A.D near Hadrian's wall, poor graphics and tons of bugs tho (i was a camp prefect in the 18th legion, which was a guild obviously). The game is still running but the dev team announced that they would pull the plug soon since they are working on Roma Victor 2 which should be out next year.
Not too unknown, but I play Darkest Hour/Red Orchestra
It's shame really. Very well made game, very few glitches, very realistic, about the same realism as Americas Army 2 I would say, maybe more as it incorporates weapon resting also.
Good game, only 100 people seem to be online at any one time.
I also play a little Hidden and Dangerous. It's a good game for mixing line-up based strategy and FPS, has an online community of zero though xD
I like pie.
Dungeon Keeper, old but amazing.
RSIII player
RS 2. It's only a bunch of players that plays it. It's incredible hard to find any in the multiplayer lobby.

I love People's tactics, a wargame that includes complex rules for supply, chain of command, and "friction" giving orders. Being it a turn game, i usually play by e-mail (When you are playing ww2 on a division command level, you MUST have days to complete your turn and going to work ).

Beware of the Moon...
Penumbra
U should definitively give it a try
I play Darkest Hour, a mod for Red Orchestra, which another person mentioned. Either one is a fantastic game and easily worth the 10 bucks on Steam for both.
Soldat is also pretty fun, the minigun is awesome.
It's some time ago I played it, but I really love Emperor: Battle for Dune. Amazing game. Bad graphics to nowadays standards, but excellent gameplay.
Vale,
Lately I've been playing some Silent Storm and some X3: Terran Conflict. Both are not super unknown, but they are not talked about often. Silent Storm is like a mission based Jagged Alliance in 3d during WWII, while X3 is a space sim.
