the simplest way is select your unit and choose a place behind the line of your enemy and the selected unit will run toward the enemy infantry and as soon lines get in contact they will change to bayonet with or without ammo simple trick but works but use charge without using all ammo its bit suicide you'll lose good part of your men during the charge

By the way, wil the unit stats be specific for each faction? Like Sweden having slightly better troops in the beginning (though quite a low income and population and a bit of an undeveloped country)?

Which years does the campaign start? 1700? Though I like the thought of letting it start in 1690. Then, for example, former James II of England had just been defeated by William III, and Charles XI was still absolute monarch of Sweden. It would be nice to start the game as Sweden with him as Faction Leader. He was one of the best rulers Sweden has ever seen, as he was the creator of Europe's finest army for it's time, he developed the economy of his country (though this work was once interrupted by a famine), and I believe it would have gone better for Sweden if he had not died of cancer in 1697.

well we can't make stats different for each units/factions because this would very likely make we reach the units limit and we need to make faction rosters + aor units + mercenaries.

but some factions will have mostly of his own roster with unique units and so unique stats, for example sweden and russia mostly use DaNova poltava units!

fatherland, yes we'all have sadly my fatherland wasn't independent but this time-frame :/

I hope you can change the ottoman textures to a more historically accurate ones though, the ottoman units in ETW are more like clowns than soldiers
3 days ago I was in Turkey and i went to topkapi palace museum but the weapons section was closed !!! I wanted to go there so badly to see the uniforms and weapons of ottoman units

I guess you should cut the flags half of the size, for me it's looks quite unrealistic to man fight with that huge flag.

But the standards were actually HUGE (at least in the early 18th century)! I've seen many standards on the Army Museum in Stockholm, and some of them were more than 2.5 metres wide!

It's sad, though, that you can't make the standard bearer extra hard to kill, as he would probably fight like a madman to protect the banner, since the standard were the symbol of the company (and very expensive too). If a standard bearer lost the banner but survived the battle, he would most likely be executed for loosing it

Ataegina, I hope you're still working on this! The models are already done for you, that's 90% of a mod's job!

It's a good idea, but it's bit hard to work on for the gunfire units
