They're beautiful. Ihatemonday is developing something very similar for IB:Ruina Romae. On the walls, the red brick design is more appealing to me because it is more appropriate for a fortress, not because the striped one is not nice but because it's too ornated and more convenient to embelish something like a city. Just my opinion of course.

Looks very good. Prefer the last. Same reason as Pseudoromanus
Sorry pomp I wasn't thinking when I saw this post.
All In all I like the first one alot but I don't think it would fit as well in a desert or war scared region.
So I'm going to have to say the red bricked one, feels real when I look at it.

I love the new Stone Walls you've created, they add real character to the forts. Well done

IMHO, the striped one. What fortress-texture do you prefer?
That one with the red brick design - or do you prefer the striped one?

I prefer it because I think it fits the best the merging of Late Roman to Early Byzantine architecture styles.Do you have a special reason Gäiten?
I also prefer the striped one because it adds more "early byzantine" flavour.

I would assemble an extra installer like Invasio Barbarorum had where you can install the fort style you prefer.
wow! nice preview!
I love the designs - and as a personal preference like the striped one only because I grew up around Portus Adurni (Porchester) -a late Roman naval fort with the alternating red tiles and stone work.
