    Default Tom Cruise hero unit

Will he be recruitable and if so at what time and for which factions? Also what special powers and abilities should he have? Lastly when giving a pre battle speech will it be in american as is historically accurate and can they hire his actor from the documentary The Last Samurai to voice him?

    Bah!

Nonetheless, I think he should be excluded from the game completely. All these threads will no doubt give The CA the wrong impression that we want him, haha!

Let the East have their moment...the west has been hogging TW games for the last 4 titles...no need for a western character.

Why not have an 'Otaku' unit that serves the same purpose as Religious Fanatics in Medieval II Total War or every Gallic unit in vanilla Rome: Total War?

Well considering the movie took place in the 1870s. I don't think he will be included in a game that starts in the 1500s.

Wouldn't work, because his name in the Movie is actually Captain Nathan Algren. "Tome Cruise" wasn't born until July 3, 1962.

Ah my mistake Nathan Total War then. He should be modelled after Tom though as Tom is his desendant and bares a striking resemblance to him.

Then he wouldn't be modeled after Tom as Tom came after him. Tom would therefore resemble him, not the other way around.

We have the movie.. We could model it after him. So obviously some part of him lives on in the movie.

Idn't this the 2nd thread about him? He was French and in the Meiji period (1860-70). Hollywoodian action: something I won't like.

If so, i'm running him to the quickest way to die. That or, if i can assassinate my own units like in MTW1, I'll assassinate him. I don't hate him personally, just, UNREALISTIC, even for an easter egg! Those amazons up north in Vanilla rome, or those yubtseb elephant cheats were more realistic >=(
